  1. If you can afford them, then Artisan is the only answer. Mizuno's would be next. Clevelands next. Then the rest.
  2. You need to add Artisan to the list.
  3. 2011 Taylormade RocketBallz 3 wood and 3 hybrid. Can't find anything that I like better.
  4. Assuming you mean the Four Seasons at Las Colinas... I played the TPC course a couple weeks ago - just after all the rains in late May/early June subsided. Course was in spectacular condition - to be expected. Greens were lightning fast. I like the layout of the TPC course okay, but if I have a choice I'll always play the Cottonwood course first. I just like that course better. Same conditions as the TPC.
  5. Another vote for the EWheels V2 and a Rovic RV1S. Outside of clubs, this is the best money I've ever spent on golf. Paid for itself last year in saved cart fees.
  6. My vote is for Artisan wedges. Best clubs I've ever hit.
  7. Go out and have a good time. Be a good guy. If you suck at golf, suck quickly. Be VERY mindful of etiquette. Be ready and able to pay your way (green fees/drinks/food) even at a private club. Be the guy that they think of when they need a 4th. I started playing golf with some of my buddies in a situation very much like the one the OP threw out there. Now these guys are some of my dearest friends and golf buddies. Work never got in the way, and we continue to play even though we've all move on to new/different employment.
  8. Play the Mizunos. You won't be sorry.
  9. My Artisan 50* wedge right now. Some days its' my Mizzy 8 iron. Some days it's my putter.
  10. A few from the Donald Ross course at French Lick...
  11. A couple from the Pete Dye course at French Lick...
  12. Putter and wedges. The long neck 0920 is my first ever blade style putter and I love it. The wedges are simply the best clubs I have ever hit. Cannot wait for their irons to be released. Got to hit a proto cavity back 7 iron during my wedge fitting. Wow... If you are on the fence, go for a fitting and a tour. At least you are going to get a great lesson out of the deal, even if you don't buy the clubs.
  13. I haven't had any problems with the change. I am coming off of using a TM Rossa Monza Spider (double bend) since it was brand new, so a quite a few years. I really like the way the Artisan sets up on the ball, and I don't miss the long alignment aid on the spider.
  14. John at Artisan built me a face balanced blade putter this year. Titanium longneck 0920. Take a look at a long neck blade. I know John can make it face balanced. I'm sure others can as well.
