I have the mp-32's and they are semi-forgiving blades. If I could go back, I would get a combo set.
Hey i live in the UK So does anyone know where is a good place to get fit and by combo sets that don't cost a fortune ? North west England would be nice But this sounds like a great idea i will have to have a look down that alley.
zacbrom, i also live in the UK, nice to meet you mate. i've played Titleist 735 CM's for at least the last couple of years and they are, in my opinion, a fantastic progressive combo set, both from a feel viewpoint and looks. i have the stainless steel version - they also come in a chrome finish but i'm not a fan of the shiny glare you get from chrome finishes. either way, they are gorgeous bats, as nice as any combo sets you can buy at the moment i'd say. i also reckon you could probably pick up a very good used, or even brand new, set for a decent price on ebay if you're prepared to look around so, dare i say it, you might be as well taking a punt on them and just buying some. you can always make your money back - or most of it - by re-selling if you don't like them. the other option, and probably your best bet for trying clubs on grass, is to speak to your club pro - assuming you're a member somewhere - and trying some demo clubs. this does of course depend on whether or not your pro has a sales contract with a particular manufacturer or not, and whether that manufacturer has an appropriate iron model for what you're looking for. i guess the final option is to try to find a driving range that is attached to an equipment retailer - private or chain - and find out whether they have a grass practice area on which you could try some clubs. there doesn't appear to be too many of these around though, so it might be a little tricky. i'm in south manchester, and there is a grass practice range attached to a range near me, but the grass asre is only open til october (though i think it might depend of the weather, so may be open til it starts to get too wet). not sure how extensive the range of kit is though. it's not like a fully-blown golf shop, but i noticed they had some titleist and nike gear in the little shop bit of the range. if you're anywhere near manchester, take a look at it - it's called Adlington Golf Centre. Here's the link: http://www.adlingtongolfcentre.com/ worst you can do is ring places like this and see what they sell and whether you can try. hope this helps. good luck.
Been Hitting Clubs all afternoon on my Clubs Practise ground. (it held the open so there is a nice grass practise area) And my conclusions where i will either get the Z Blend or S57's or a mizuno combo of Mx 300 and Mp68's 3-6 Mx 300 and I think the cheapest place around the northwest is Greg Nicholson golf Near the Trafford center so i'm going to go there on Saturday Have you Been whats there service like ?

 3. All in the title.Hey guessing everyone asks this. I Consistently shoot mid 80's. and my strength is my irons weakness is the tee (R7 CGB Max is a good easy to hit straight driver but not overly long) so i always end up hitting long irons into holes which is where my scoring goes down the drain however since since i have a new driver on the way i figured hey lets get some irons + shafts that aren't older than me (i'm 17) and i have been looking at player's cb's like the mp-57 and hitting them no problems so wondered if my game was upto the challenge of blades mostly because they look gorgeous however i haven't had a chance to hit any of grass and i can't hit any irons of mats ( well not consistently) so that's my question. Is it worth a go and if so what you recommend and what are forgiving blades if they exist?
 4.
You really ought to find a local demo day or something and hit a bunch of irons. If money is really tight, then find a companies whose product you like and look at their lines from a couple years ago, find the equivalent of the one you liked best and buy em used. Good luck m8. Also where on earth do you live that a driver swing of 95-100 mph, produces 270 yard drives? Are you on the Moon?
Sorry I didn't mean carry i meant that's my overall distance and like someone else says on a good links course apart from when soaked by average British weather the ball can roll miles And money isn't tight i just don't won't to be a club ho with different sets of irons for each part of the lunar cycle and whether i saw 1 or 2 Magpies that morning
 5. yeh i thought i mentioned everything but obv forgot about my plans to make uni team

I'm a Mid H'cap (12) and have finally had enough of using a club 2 or 3 longer than my playing partners eg 5i instead of 7i when i am as long as them with a wood and more accurate and can hit their irons as far as them so my main question is can i play any of the irons listed in the topic description or are there any others you can recommend. I have tried the S57's but only on the driving Range so not sure about turf interaction and living in Liverpool means there are no Scratch Dealers to allow me to give the a rip. My course is generally quite soft and low trajectory is favoured due to all my local courses being links Thank you
Yeah you'll be fine - and play what you want to play! Have a good time! That's the most important thing! It's OK to experiment, I play with 3 different sets, from a MB, CB to GI, depending on how I feel. I'm in it to have fun.
I would love to experiment however i'm going to uni next year so A) don't have much cash and B) want to get a solid set and stick with them to get on the uni's team. So thanks for your advice but it unfortunately isn't an option and i want to make the right well informed choice.

 8. Hey , since you are getting lessons why not get a driver that will still work in the future either one with MWT or the new shaft/hosel adjustable one's so you can get the face angle more open when your slice issues are over i demo'd the R9 (not R9 460) and it was one hell of a club as is the L5V long and well adjustable so they are the only face adjustable one's i can recommend but it i was buying a new driver both of those would e serious contenders. Hope this helps and about the slice problems i think 80% + of golfers have had the same problem but the lessons will be the best help. Good Luck and again hope this helps
 9. Masters 2nd roundHis 2nd round today showed some excellent putting especially on the back nine wer the only putt i would class as a miss was the 17th And his ball Striking withs Irons and Driver is as good as always....Lookout Augusta Here comes SERGIO!!!
 10. I Know they are in My bag but it has to be The Tm Rac MB Smokes they feel awesome,Are quite forgiving for a blade iron,On anything other than very soggy wet days Turf Interaction is Immense and the Looks Are Mouth Watering!!! How can they not be Club of the Year?
 11. I reckon when he finds a putter he will do what Adam Scott does when he wins.... Win by a huge distance because his ballstriking is so good he is always in contention so just 4 days of putting and playing the odds it's bound to happen eventually and maybe then his head will be sorted out and he will go on to win a LOT!! But he is an awesome player and having a chat with him at Royal Birkdale last year on the tuesday and wednesday practise rounds he is a really nice guy aswell and helped me with my pitching loads in just a 20 minute chat (and he gave me 2 dozen of his balls :) what a Legend who else gives up their time to help you like that on 2 days.
 12. Haha that club in the Background of ur photos is my home club , Royal Liverpool GC. crackin course and nice irons.
 13. Question is in the title.hi I'm 16 and only play off twelve after playing the game for 6-7 months, I have a simple question have I taken up the game to late to think about turning Professional one day?
 14. poll of the never ending question.Looking at the other similar topics replies i have gone with the general consensus to narrow it down.*Edit I was reading and saw some Requests i just could not ignore Sam Snead and 6 time Major Winner and best Ryder Cup Player Nick Faldo.
