My clubs are MOI fitted, matched and balanced.

My Driver comes in at 2,825 MOI. The 'Gonzo' Wood comes in at 2,805. The Hybrid at 2,775. The irons and wedges are at 2,725.

The shaft + grip weight of all my clubs (outside the putter) weighs 60% of the club head's weight. This means a lighter shaft in the 3 & 4 irons and then using counterweights in the shorter clubs and in my driver and Gonzo Wood. This allows the longer irons to launch higher and spin more while the shorter irons get more of a penetrating ball flight.

I had an Edel Belly Putter and took the shaft and trimmed it to 35 inches. This makes for a very heavy shaft (200 grams), but I really lie the feel and performance of the modified putter.

Lastly, I use a 52* wedge as my Sand Wedge. I feel with the grind made by Edel, I can more easily hit this around the green and the 52* loft and longer shaft allow me to hit it about 120-125 yards, which is nicely gapped from my PW which I hit about 135 yards. I really love the Nippon WV 125 wedge shaft. It comes in heavy after trimming and that helps with getting a penetrating ball flight and has that great Nippon feel to it.

Can you hit the 3w off the deck?
Yes, without much issue unless the ground is very hard (the club and turf interaction is a bit tough if the ground is very hard).

I can actually hit my driver extremely well off the deck. If I have a lie I don't like or feel comfortable with, I just pull out the hybrid.

Wishon's drivers have virtually no face roll. With other OEM drivers, the loft gets lower as you get towards the bottom of the face. Wishon's loft on the face stays the same. So my 10* driver plays at 10* loft when I hit it off the deck. Same with my 14* Gonzo Wood, although it's more designed for hitting shots off the tee.

I like a guy who uses lead tape, it shows he's in touch with his swing.

Thanks.

Although I use lead tape for MOI matching and Balance matching purposes. I used to use tip weights, but they are a pain to remove if I want to, so I would rather use lead tape which is easy to apply and remove.

I also returned my Edel Golf putter. This was my original Edel putter. I had them install weight ports and re-finish it with a new shaft. I installed a PURE putter grip.

Is there a way to order those counterweights? I want one for my putter.
You can just order it thru Golfsmith, GolfWorks or the Tour Lock counterweight Web site.

Sweet setup. Looks really good and I recognize that you use lead tape strategically. I really like the thought you put into your equipment.
Thanks.

I believe that weight and how it is distributed is probably the most important component to club fitting.

How do the super peening blue compare to the wishon stepless?
Much stiffer tip section. The Wishon Stepless are very smooth feeling in their own fright. But, they only go stiff or regular flex. Their stiff flex is fairly stiff for stiff flex shafts.

How do you like the Nippon WV 125 and can you compare them to S400? I currently have the Modus 130's in my irons and TI S400's in my wedges but I am getting a new set of wedges and was looking for feedback on the WV 125's. Thanks in advance.
I like the WV 125's a lot. Problem I've found with most wedge shafts is after they are trimmed they are very light (because you have to trim a lot of the shaft off). For instance, I had a KBS Tour Wedge shaft and found the weight after trimming was only 109 grams.

I would say that the Nippon WV 125's have a similar feel when making contact to the KBS Tour, but they are a heavier shaft and more tip heavy. After I trimmed the WV 125's, they came out to about 122 grams. Since they are wedges, I don't want to have more of the mass located towards the head. I want it more in the shaft to help keep the ball flight down.

So does the staff bag dictate the color scheme or do you find the bag to match what you want? Very important question.

I find a bag I like and then change the color scheme to that bag.

So it seems like you are very technical on specs, what goes into clubhead selections? Some interesting changes here, from Wishon to the old school Mizuno's...

L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
