My SS is 93-95 and I was just fitted for the diamana Kai'Li 70 shaft in stiff flex. It is 68g and I really like it. It is not overly stiff at all. Has a lot of kick in the mid section yet slightly stiffer in the tip to cut down on back spin. I am playing the club at 45 inches, have a 9.5 head, set to square with the 12g weight in the heel.

That shaft is true to flex and I know someone swinging 105-110 that loves that exact shaft, same set up as you.

I have a completely opposite experience. The stock rip nv shaft plays around 2 flexes softer. My stiff was around a senior flex.

The stock 'made for' Rip'd NV that came with that club was anything but "true to flex" - except maybe true to the next lower flex. Certainly a good shaft for those that need a softer shaft but if the stiffness was choosen based on what you normally might hit with another shaft, it could be way off.

Unfortunately, you haven't really given enough info to provide any type of more specific recommendation. Your best bet would be to find a fitter to help you out - or another budget option would be to find a fitting cart at a retail store and demo a bunch of shafts from the cart and find out what works for you.

Agree with other posts about the stock nv shaft in the razr fit. Decent shaft for some, but anything but stout. The Kai'li is a great shaft as someone already mentioned. At a lower price point, I would check out the Kuro Kage line. The black Kuro Kage is very solid or try the silver Kuro Kage for lower launch and spin.

Stock or made for shafts are notoriously soft to flex and inferior quality, or at least they used to be. The idea is to give the buyer a driver in stiff that they can handle cause in reality it's a soft regular, which is what they really need. It's all about massaging the ego of the poser golfer who wants to be a man by using a mans shaft. I have a regular in my Wilson Smooth, but they had genuine after market fuji E160 standard, so it actually plays stiffer than most stock stiff shafts. Unless your driver has a genuine after market shaft, it is playing at least one flex softer.

Okay, my experience is also that it's soft. Maybe that's why it doesn't feel "consistent".

I tried the diamana s+ 62 in stiff, noticably stiffer and more controllable. My SS is around 112 and I noticed that even this shaft is too soft for me. I've bought a few other shafts from the bay to try in my RFX, not the most efficient route but it enables me too test the shafts in multiple sessions. My desires flex/profile is somewhere around stiff +.

I am on shaft no. 3 with mine, the RF @ 11. I play with a 43.75in Matrix Ozik Xcon-6, S. Not around anymore, but what a nice kicker that one is. I bought Callaway screw wts. set so I could self adjust the feel after the cut down. Currently the 12g & 8g inserts are in.

So, out in the garage is a Fuji Fit-On Max 60 S shaft with the RF adapter/GP NDMC which would play @ 44.25 in that I have no use for.

Can't explain the differences in our experience except that I bought the RF from a fellow WRX'er, could have something to do with it. That driver could have any shaft he wanted in it , and he won his HS District and Region tournaments with it in the bag.

Here's the thing that I based my opinion of the shaft on; He demoed the RF with that shaft and the set up I bought was exactly the same as the demo , both felt the same to him.
