Me and brenden are playing aguila tomorrow afternoon. Taking a page out of Ryans book and making him play it all the way forward!

Me and Brenden (AZlefty59) played Aguila yesterday and I decided to just play from the tips and play some real golf. Match was pretty static until the 15th each of us going 1 up multiple times. We were all even going into 15 and I hit my 2nd shot right of the cart path and we were not able to find it so I conceded the hole (he made birdie anyway so that was ok). We halved 16.

So going into 17 I was 1 down with 2 to play. Brended had the honors and laid up with a 7 iron perfect and had about 110 left to the hole. I had no other choice but to go for it. So i pull out the range finder to find out my carry yardages and to see what the distance is to the flag. The flag is all the way in the back and I have 327 to the pin and 285 to carry the water keeping me and the pin in line. If i miss left the carry jumps to 294 and right it is only a 245 carry. I pull out the big dog and give it a whack. Hit the best drive of my life considering the pressure of the shot. I hit it to maybe 25-30 feet and 2 putt for birdie to win 17.

Going into 18 I have the honors and I hit a pretty decent drive down the middle. Brenden crushes his drive and gets unlucky with the roll out and ends up in the FW bunker. I have 167 left to the pin and want to hit a easy cut 7 iron. It was the worst shot i hit all day pulling it left into the green side bunker. Brenden then steps up and hits a FANTASTIC bunker shot! He has about 20-25 feet left for birdie. I hit a pretty good bunker shot and get really unlucky and gets a big first hop and stops about 10 feet from the flag. Brenden misses his birdie and only has 3.5 feet left for par.

It is a pretty straight putt and I read it right edge. line it up and give it a go. I hit the put and it looks perfect. I was thinking I just had the best sandy ever to extend the match to extra holes. start to walk it in and BAM!! LIP OUT! I can't believe it! So Brenden taps in his par put and he wins 1 up.

stupid 7 iron!

This was a great match! It was the most fun I've had playing golf in a very very long time!

Mark beat me 2-up this morning but I beat him by 1 medal play so technically the match doesn't count and we start over, right?

Had a lot of fun this morning. Putter let me down, and the cold shank off 16 tee didn't help. Mark hit some great iron shots on the back nine, which is amazing since Jay and I kept pulling up PING commercials on youtube each shot to try and distract him.

I had a blast Wally, I think the irons were the only good thing going today, but great match nonetheless! Wally had it to 2 up for a but then it seemed like we were back and forth.

Tyler won our match at Maryvale today 4&3. I was lucky to be In it for that long. His putter cooled
Enough for me to halve some holes. It was a lot if fun. Good luck to everyone!

Also, I might add that we almost got NAILED on 18 by a golf size $hi% bomb dropped from a bird. Seriously, this thing came whistling in and landed with a loud thud just feet from us. Reminds me of a Will Ferrel quote: "sometimes when my car gets pooped on by a bird, I eat a large plate full of scrambled eggs on my porch just to show the birds what Im capable of doing." hahahaha

That was crazy. It really did make a loud incoming noise and then splattered. Not only would it have sucked to get hit because it's crap...but would have left a serious mark!

I have sent Patrick two texts and PM'ed him here. If anybody hears from him tell him to holler back so we can get this match done.

I'm out for a couple of different reasons.

In all honesty I thought we'd get through this much quicker, it's just taking too long and I'm too busy now and will be traveling a lot.

Best of luck to the remaining players!

Well Patrick and I played this morning and it was one of the more enjoyable rounds of golf I have had. Excellent company and it was nice of patrick to humor me and let me stay in the match longer than I deserved.

He was 1 up going into 16 and won the hole, when I hit a horrible iron shot over the green and he hit his calmly below the hole and nearly made the birdie, going dormie with a par. I won 17 when he got a very unlucky roll on his drive up against the base of a tree, but I got a similar roll our on 18 that forced me to chip out effectively ending the match with him winning 2 up on the 18h hole.

Excellent day, great company.

Nice playing to you both!

I'm trying to set up my match with lefty, hopefully he can do it this coming week or we might never get to play. I'm tired of waiting, I'm so impatient haha

Has anyone won this thing yet? WTF

It kind of fell apart when a lot of the original winners chose not to continue.
