Personally I think he comes of as very confident but far from cocky. Of the 8-10 golf psychology / mental game books I've read (Rotella, Pickens etc) just about all of them point out that for tour guys this is one of the signs of a good player becoming a great player. That is, the way you carry yourself on the course - in a sense - is how your game becomes. Slump your shoulder and walk around pouting all the time - not great. Walking around starting to believe you are the best player in the field - sign of a great player.

What a quitter!!! Hope he teaches his son about the art of giving up. Bubba probably had to leave the Orlando area, because he viciously beat Teddy his caddy after the round and there was a warrant out for his arrest. Even though Teddy never hit a shot, we know its his fault for the 83

I wonder what Patrick Reed would say if asked to reconsider his top five status after playing alongside Scott. The guy could be close to -20 under after 2 rounds. Has missed 4 or 5 inside 15 feet today, as well as making a mess of two bunker shots.

I don't believe motivation to be a factor. The bottom line is his body can't or won't hold up. Couple that with the fact that he's staring serious competition in the face week after week. Gone are the days where he could show up, freak half the field out before putting a peg in the ground and win comfortably.

As many have said, he's an old 38. Time stops for no man...
