From what I have read about other people is that getting on is the hard part, after that whether you are accompanied or not it is like $125 or $150. ($125 I think) Somewhere in there. If anyone knows better please correct me.

If I remember correctly, it is $125 per day + $20-25 for a cart. That is a per day fee.

I wrote an email when I got on, now it is a letter. I did provide a couple of specific dates, but also noted I was flexible. I played during the middle of the week so I think that may have helped. I wrote to them MONTHS in advance...before it was even open for the season.

Price wise what I paid around the 125 range as I recall, I think is more now. It was well worth it as I played 27 that day. Even if is cost $250 and playing it all day is worth it.

Yep 9 in the USA... I think 12 in world... not often you get to play a course considered on the top in the world.

SOO, since you wrote them months in advance, how long did it take them to reply and let you know that you were in? Was it months?

I decided I'm not going to try an attempt to get on this year. I'm playing 4 days at Dismal this summer and hitting up Wildhorse on the way home. That alone is going to cost me around >$700 just for the golf and should be enough for me to last a while. I did play with a guy tonight who's new on our league team and he played Sand Hills a few times so it was nice to hear his stories. I'm gonna shoot for 2015 if everything works out.

I'm trying to be optimistic that I will get a call or an email from Sandhills that gives me the chance to play. I wrote them a letter awhile back and have yet to hear from them. I hope to hear from them soon. Are you playing both courses when you go to Dismal? Heard they are both beasts.

Yes playing both the red and white. I'm sure the course will kick me around but I'm playing it as a once in a lifetime outing. 4 days of golf and lodging in their cabins should be a nice getaway from reality for a while.

It was around 3 weeks or so. Again I did try to plan the trip so I would be there when I figured it would be low traffic at the course.

That will be a great 4 days! Hopefully you will get one day with less wind on both courses.

The fees this summer for play as a non-member are $225 for the day with a max of 36 holes. A $25 cart fee is required and you are required to take a caddie for your first round.

I am assuming that you are talking about playing Sandhills?
