I’m still buying up value putters....

While it isn’t “new” new, this “Hoganardi(BHB1-C)” was new when I won it in 2003 and I was gaming “The Wilson 8802” and in no mood to switch so into the closet it went, never having been gamed though I did try it out on the greens one afternoon and it has a superb sound/feel and I really liked the balance for an Anser style putter.

 

Sweet stick that I believe is still as fine as anything out there today.

Start lines are so much better...still surprised that they are consistently on line. There’s something to the high MOI putters I just didn’t get.

This showed up today. I bent it to my specs and have been rolling it indoors. Initial reaction is super positive! Such a nice feel and sound off the face. So good that I treated it to a certain grip I have been saving for a special occasion, that is drying as I type. It has a lower profile compared to my White Hot Pro #9, which I think looks great behind the ball. Really looking forward to trying it out on Sunday.

I impulsively won an eBay auction for a mint Odyssey Toe Up #9. Why didn't these things catch on? I love the feel of the "stroke balanced" face. It feels like it just wants to stay square.

 

The onset shaft reminds me of the Backstryke putters, which is an interesting look. Maybe that's why the concept wasn't more popular, though, because it does look odd.

Bought these two for a total of $50 including shipping ($20 Spalding, $30 Ping) last weekend on Ebay.

First, a Spalding Elite VII . Bought it as a refinishing project, but I may actually leave it as-is. It's pretty nice looking, even with a few bumps & bruises.

 

Second, Ping Scottsdale Tatum. Swapped out the grip and it's ready to compete for a spot in my bag.

Just added a Cleveland Huntington Beach #10 to my putter collection. Couldn’t resist for just £45 for a brand new one. A bit of toe-hang on a mid mallet, plumbers neck.

 

I bought my son an HB about a year ago, and have always fancied one myself.

 

May regrip it with something else.
