New England golfers, please chime in - May 1st course conditions?

May 1st. Home course has holes 3-7 under water. It is currently 70 degrees and sunny - hottest and nicest it's been all year, and I can't play because of a f****** river!

Tashua Knolls in Trumbull,CT. Fairways are fine. Greens are not healing from the aeration a month ago. The $300,000 bunker project looks to be a failure. They put the same crappy quality sand right back in them, and the levels are super inconsistent, some have 2 inches of sand some have 2 feet.

Fox Hopyard in East Haddam, CT in nice condition. Greens rolling pretty smoothly now.

Bay Pointe in Onset wasn't bad last weekend, great drainage there. Greens were pretty nice despite the rain.

Maplegate in Bellingham is a diaster - greens never healed from the last punch - most had 2" wide grooves throughout.

Brookside in Bourne, MA was in nice condition a week ago. The greens were punched April 15 and are recovering nicely. This week's rain will help.

Olde Banstable, Cape Cod. Greens punched two weeks ago. Slow to recover. No new growth yet on fairways and rough. All is playable but thin.

Almost everything in RI is in good condition, albeit in some locations a bit soggy. We've had the never ending rain. Heck, this is the 1st time since almost forever where it's May and there are no leaves on trees yet (just buds).

agree with Imp, Rhody courses seem to be pretty solid but very very wet still. My home course is a 7 right now my league course is a 6 in terms of a 1-10 grading scale.

Cochecho Country Club in Dover, NH - 2 temp greens on the back. All temps on the front. Tee boxes and fairways all ok.

Breakfast Hill in Portsmouth, NH - 14 temp greens.

The Oaks in Somersworth, NH - All open and rolling nicely.

Kirkbrae is in great condition.....greens are still a bit sany from topdress but otherwise in great condition...and pretty dry.

New England's fairways and tees were good, only a few holes had cart path only restrictions.

Greens were punched a week ago and they were still sandy and slow but they weren't too bad all things considered, probably be pretty good by next week.

Still an enjoyable round - went off at 7:00 with a member behind a foursome and we were still done before 11:00.

Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge is in nice shape. Greens rolling nicely. Very wet from the rain earlier in the week - Cart Path only.
Blackstone National is in very nice shape as well - I believe they are aerating this week.

NK (quonsett) soooooo wet...in fact it was one of my best driving days all year so far...and I was penalized each time because middle of fairways were so soggy and wet

very green though...the greens were rough...shaggy, bumpy and slow...they need to fix this (ater having to close last year)

hopfully will be better soon...since my wife bought me a foursome there for father day

Cyprian Keyes has 3-4 greens with some ice damage, but they are recovering pretty well. I believe they are slicing them today. Stow Acres where I have my league is in it's usual shape, i.e. greens are nice, fairways not so nice but playable. Just got back from a week in Myrtle Beach, they seen to have had a rough winter as well (relatively speaking) as a couple of the courses we played had problems with their greens, too.

Greens at Atlantic CC in Plymouth, MA were in good condition. Fairways are still a little bit dormant. 4:45 for a Sunday afternoon round wasn't much fun.

George Wright (Hyde Park, MA): only able to play back nine this morning, but that's because they were punching the greens and fairways on the front nine and anticipated opening the front nine this afternoon. They did the same thing to the back nine last week. The fairways on the back nine were in good shape, but they are still sanding those greens even though they were punched last week. I'm thinking it will be totally recovered after aeration and sanding in a week or 2.

oh man what a dump! this place has seriously gone down the pooper in recent years...46 bucks if I wanted to playn 18...whata joke...diseased greens which were rock hard..spotty fairways...

only real nice thing (which is completely odd) is the bunkers were beautiful haha.....avoid at all costs!

honestly Goddard Park is in better condition at this point

I'm a member at Blissful Meadows. The greens are rolling great, very little damage. Fairways are coming in nicely as well. The rough is clumpy, but it's always clumpy. Played in a charity event at Raceway in Thompson, CT on Friday... a true goat track. Slow greens, clover fairways, gravel sandtraps.

I played 9 at wanumetonomy in middletown RI today. A bit windy, as it always is. The course is in great shape. We are in the process of putting a new irrigation system in, so one of the greens was closed today. It's about 80% done. So hopefully a few more weeks. It's amazing when they are done with a hole. You can't even tell they were there. We hired some company that has done work on Hilton head, Augusta, and a few of the tpc's....they do good work.
