How can you tell the fake Lachlans from the legit ones?

it should be illegal. You have to name the product differently from the original. Like target does with their product, but still tells you which name brand they're similar to.

 

But this is different case, where this is basically a fake(copy) product. So if the website claims "The following designer labels are inspired by.." then they could copy the key point of the design of the original but cannot use their logo. Like some of the fakes I've seen, you knew it was fake because of the spelling or little different on the logo.

 

Try e-mailing J.Lindeberg or other label company about the website. I'm sure they'll shut it down...

I made the mistake of buying a lachlan a month ago. A month ago the website claimed that all their clothes were 100% authentic and now I see that they have changed their wording to inspired by. The shirts are total fakes because the material is totally different when compared to a real JL shirt. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back. DO NOT buy from them.

Probably fake. No where on their auction did they mention anything about the belt being authentic. Also, not even the JL store carry that many Bridger belts in stock. They seem to have so many of them weeek after week in their store. I bought a Miami belt from another ebay store and the quality just wasn't there. The leather was thin and the buckle was poorly finished.

do you know a good way to spot a fake? anything we should look for? sometimes it's tough to guage material when making an internet purchase, but do you know of any tag differences, stitching, etc we should look out for?

FYI for everyone here the JL stuff at fashionmansion.com is ABSOLUTELY LEGIT. I just ordered a belt and received it and compared it to one my frined bought in the store in NYC and no differences. Also I contacted them to confirmed the validity of their products ad they obtain them via distributors at a wholesale price and therefore can sell them much cheaper.

stuff from ebay is very tough to tell unless seller clearly says its a 100% authentic or money back(then you'll take your chance on it). Usually this seller uses real authentic pictures but when they ship out the actual item, its lesser quality copied product.

 

Even with fashsionmansion.com, they state that if you're not satisfied with their product, they're glad to give your money back. If you're up to all the hassle of returning via mail to save some money that's great.

Jer Jer give them a call and ask them because I bought a belt and it is as real as my friend's which he bought in the store located in New York City. I called them and they assured me they are real and they are bought from authorized dealers.

They are indeed fakes. I compared one of their lachlans to a real JL one for the benefit of the rest of the world and it is a completely different material. FYI it is the same website basically as PureRunway.com. Although the belts are fakes they arent that bad.
