Tour Pros Taking Off Glove In Between Shots

Stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway.

 

Not sure why it's been bugging me lately, but I've been noticing that many Tour Pros take their glove off in between shots. Does anyone have any insight on why? Maybe it's common sense but I'm missing that as to this issue.

I do it because if it's hot out it won't get wet as quick. Plus that glove tan line can be avoided that way.

Mostly to prevent the glove tan. Also to prevent my hand from sweating in the heat, give it some air.

If it's raining then to prevent it from getting wet, obviously.

I thought it was more normal to take your glove off between shots than to leave them on for 4+ hours in the sun. My hand would be so sweaty by the end of the round if I left my glove on the whole time.

I always thought the opposite. Almost everyone I've played with keeps it on until they get on the green.

I always keep mine on unless I'm switching to another glove. My hands sweat and it makes if harder to take off and out back on. By leaving it on I get accustomed to it and hands don't sweat as much.

i take mine off in between but it's a mental trigger for me... when the glove is off I don't try to think about golf. When the glove is on that's when I am in my little think box and focus on the shot.

I think all this taking off and putting on of gloves is the reason why golf rounds are taking so long.

I always take my glove off and stick it in my back right pocket between shots. More comfortable and gives my hand air. I imagine pros do it for similar reasons.

They must do it for max performance conditions, sweat and keeping the glove fresh. Always take mine off for putting, sometimes down the fairways - but since I wear superior ventilated racquetball gloves for golfing, I don't get the soaked and salt crusted effect, despite my typical 105 deg. days I play in.

(Seriously, It's a supposed excessive heat warning tomorrow, but I'll be playing 18 and walking!)
