It is that time of the season, indoors more plus sitting in front of the computer makes you want new golf stuff. I just bought a Rife Bellevue putter. It is nice but trying to get used to it. The new Vokey D-Grind looks pretty nice. Definitely want to try one. Like I need any more golf stuff. Ugh.

Just got my beautiful FG59 "Edwin Watts" Tour Blade heads back from Tiger Nick where they went for a Black Nitride finish. Now, to decide on paint fill for them. The Sounder "8802" is a recent eBay acquisition. We'll see if it's heavy enough for my balky stroke soon.

Callaway X Forged UT 18* - stock PX 6.0 (will be swapped)

 

In terms of aesthetics and headshape, best 18* utility iron I've ever laid eyes on. The limited offset, size of the sole, face profile...all checks out really well.

 

Cant wait to put a saucy shaft in there and make it a weapon

I think Koufax is in his early 80s nowadays and these came out 8 years ago so it might make sense considering the 2-6 irons don’t look like they were ever hit and the 7-PW look like they maybe were used for a round or two tops. It felt like I hit the lottery and robbed a bank at the same time.

There were too many little blotches in the finish on these for some reason. Each club had at least one little spot or two. The paint fill distracts from that just enough that they're not noticeable now. It would have been nice to have left them all black but it just wasn't practical this time. If I get tired of looking at it the way they are, I can strip it off and start over ;-).

Just picked this custom order up from my local shop yesterday. I guess TM is direct shipping the pre-orders prior to 2/16. Can’t wait to get this head to head vs my current gamer G400 LST. The Tour AD IZ shaft is so stealth. Headweight came in a little light at 198 grams even though I requested D3 sw. My local shop is checking to see if TM can send me some heavier track weights. The stock ones are 11 gm I believe.
