Took a chance on some 945s from GlobalGolf on ebay. There was no photo in the listing but it stated "very good" condition... They arrived today and are in phenomenal condition, I could not be happier... I have wanted these babies for a long time!!!

Bear with me, I've got a few here...

First, a Scratch 60* wedge. Interesting grind, with lots taken off at the trail edge. I actually bought this a few weeks ago, but never got around to posting it. So far, I like it well enough, though the 60* spot in my bag is pretty crowded right now. I went from looking for a good one for 6 or 7 months to finding 4 I like within a month (Ping Eye2 BeCu L wedge brought back from the UK, Titleist Vokey 260 series, and a MD2 T-grind 58* that I bent to 60*).

 

 

 

Next, a Mizuno Pro 12i (basically a lob wedge), that I bought for a giggle.

 

 

It's pretty shovel-like...

 

 

But it does mean I can build a set that goes to 12...

 

 

Next, some Nike OG blades that I got for a song (about $60US). Apart from some scuff marks on the soles, they are in amazing condition. I've been looking for a set of these for a while, so I'm pretty pleased with this purchase.

Wow those OG Nikes for $60 could be the steal of the century.

 

I'd been looking a while for a set in decent condition at a decent price. I've seen a couple of sets pop up that only go down to a 5i, but I wanted a 4i because the lofts are pretty traditional and the 4i is pretty close to the 5i in a lot of newer sets.

Then I walked into my local second hand golf club shop and saw these on sale for something like 7,500 yen plus sales tax (8%). I was in a bit of a hurry at the time, so I asked them to hold them for me until the next day. When I went back, I said to the manager, "any chance of a wee reduction?" and he knocked them down to 7,000 yen including tax. I couldn't believe my luck :)

 

A couple of days later, I was talking to the assistant manager about them, and he admitted that they were a real bargain and that I could probably flip them for more, but he said that Nike clubs are not well regarded now in Japan, especially since they got out of the hard goods side. He said they were popular about 10 years ago, but no longer.

 

This was, of course, just his opinion, but I will say that I haven't seen many people playing Nike clubs here in the last few years, though I do have a mate with all Nike woods and irons.

Rocket launcher. I have the MP18 FliHi 3iron with the same shaft. It alternates with my JPX FliHi 19* when it’s dry and running fast. Nice stick!
