Time is not as plenty it seems these days. A day at the track is just that, Usually a 8-12 hour day. If i get out first out on a weekend Im done before my wife even wakes up. Not to mention playing to a 6 and trending back down is much more gratifying than getting lapped in the B main.

Ah, I didn't realise that RC took up so much time. It's sort of good to hear that there are hobbies even more time-consuming than golf.

I feel your pain.. I've also been racing rc cars on and off for the past 25 years. I've raced tons of different disciplines... 1/8 nitro on and off road, 1/10 electric off road and touring car.... I can never stay away for more than 5-6 years at a time, lol. The transmitter always calls me back. If it's not new drivers, putters, irons, range balls and green fees it's new kits, speed controls, motors, batteries and an endless need for fresh tires every race weekend. Pick your poison, you're spending cheddar regardless! 

 

Thankfully, there are no local tracks near me so racing is uber inconvenient. I told myself I'd start playing some competitive AM tournaments again to at least scratch my itch to compete in something. So far so good... but concerning that the field of these tournaments are usually littered with kids half my age, lol. Good luck in your new hobby endeavors!

What’s it been a week?  Decided i didnt feel enough of a difference in the new shaft and bought another kit! Lol. I love building kits

End of season clearance! Got a set of z785 5-P + zu85 20deg for what would translate to 500USD. Now I have to decide between this or trying to get along with my way more expensive MP20 combo set that has not been a treat so far..
