Ive looked into these. How do they compare to other major manufactures?

I think they're just as good as anything out there.  I've played Cleveland, Vokey, etc over the years and the quality on these wedges is great.  Not a ton of custom options beyond loft/lie adjustments and only three grinds though.

I've played a 56 (WideLow) in the original chrome finish and a 60 (WideLow) Pur version for the last couple of years and have loved them.  Went with 54 Versatile and 58 WideLow this time for better gapping and a little more bounce on the SW.

One thing to note is the original King (chrome), King Pur, King Black, and now the King MIM and MIM Black are all the same exact wedges/grinds just with different finishes (or manufacturing processes with the MIM).  I got both of these wedges new online for $89 each since they are a model or two behind the latest MIM.

Had a phone call earlier to say my new toy had arrived - was never 100% sold on my 917 D3, felt good but never really seemed to pop off the face. So went for a fitting and ordered this:

IMG-20201014-WA0010.jpeg.9549f0b07c28492467a143f7d9186b5b.jpeg

Titleist TS4 with EvenFlow T1100 6.5 65g. MUCH more like it. Seem to have picked up about 10 mph ball speed and around 15 - 20 yards based on Toptracer with crappy range balls. Cannot wait to get it out on the course.

Not for me but this is a great idea for those that want almost no offset. They look fantastic.

First new set of irons in 15 years.  JPF921 Forged 5-6 and Tour 7-PW with PX LZ 6.0.  I haven't played a round yet, but I have managed to get three sessions at the range and so far I am very happy.  I was fitted for 2* up which had me concerned since previously I was always standard or 1* flat, but given the new shafts and the flatter lie of Mizuno's in general I was willing to go along with the recommendation.  There is a tendency to hit left of my target if I don't really focus on a correct face alignment at address and making sure I swing down the line.  I think it is more a matter of getting used to the more upright lie and allowing for my tendency to line up with a close face but until I play a few rounds I will hold off making a decision if I need to bend the lie slightly flatter.  Distance wise I would say they are about 5-8 yards longer per club than my old set.

Comparison with my old MP-32s (on the left).  Slightly longer heel to toe, but the sole width looks similar.
