It's a jdm brand Max Soul... similarities are uncanny 😄

I believe mine came out in in 2017 and before that they had 410cc and 450cc versions.

New to me irons and driver

So my 87 years young Dad mentioned he might be looking for a new set of irons. Always the helpful son I went to the local store for some ideas. Found this while I was looking, haven't seen SMT in the wild for a long time. I needed a backup driver, all right?

Picked up a set of used Mizuno MP 20 Copper irons. Looking forward to trying them out. The copper finish is already starting to wear off.

Cally Rogue performed really well for me last year and shouldn’t have sold it and gone to the SIM Max D side. So I’m fixing my mistake and hopefully the Mavrik will be even better than the Rogue was!

I still have standard rogue... it has such an amazing unique feel and sound. Almost like wooded. I love it. I have standard mavrik and its different but still so outstandingly good.

Lemme tell you... those Finger Ten gloves are the most legit cheap find I've had!  Got a few from Amazon a while back and never wore out the first one.  Rain, sweat, breathable, stretch, holds up after several washes... not going back to normal cabretta anytime soon even though they're not as tacky. ❤ haha

Yeah, the Rogue is awesome!! I had a standard Rogue Driver, 3W, and Hybrid and should’ve kept them.

 

I almost bought new or used versions of Rogue again this time around to fix my mistake, but I would’ve felt like too much of a jackass re-buying the same clubs. So getting a Mavrik Driver and 3W was my compromise...definitely hoping they will be as good or better! 🤞🤞

Yeah imo they are as good or better. I just rebought a like new vr red nike driver i sold years ago...  its like if its soo good why are we selling? Im beginning to think i need to open a Golfoholics anonymous thing.

Yup...I definitely learned that lesson by selling my Rogues. And I thought Golfoholics anonymous was WRX, Lol!!

 

For me, I’ve battled a slice historically...so when I missed with the Rogue they were wide right out into the corn fields. So to try and eliminate the right miss and potentially gain more distance, I bought the SIM Max D Driver and 3-Wood.

 

For whatever reason (shaft, twist face, rusty swing etc), the Max D’s were an absolute disaster for me which is why I decided to sprint back to Callaway! Not sure why it didn’t work for me, but as soon as I picked up the Mavrik Driver and 3-Wood, I felt immediate comfort and confidence.

Went back to some irons I played my best golf with.  Hoping to get out tomorrow morning.  Need some fresh grips, but I’m excited to see if I can return the magic!

 

Also, the new Betti’s have been interesting to me so had to give one a shot.  The feel off of the new roll control face is a touch firmer than the previous fit face, which I prefer.  Love this shape.  So easy to line up and feels fantastic!
