No new acquistions...?

I have a full set of 64 and 65 Wilson Staff irons. When I was in high school I would see these irons in the bags of some of the men that were members at our club. I always liked the look of these irons but I played Hogan irons. About 4 years ago I got the Staffs and took them out for a round. Now I know why I saw these irons in quite a few bags. They have such a nice feel and the way they look when you set up to the ball is great. They are still very playable.

I was just going to ask you. I already have a set5 thru Sw flat lie! Stiff shaft. These I believe are TA shafts but I can’t find a flex number or letter. Would you measure the distance fro hosel to first step on yours. Are yours reg or stiff? Measure the 6ironplease.

The Caspers look nice.

It's not always the case that storeline clubs should be beneath contempt.

if the 7 was there I would have bought them but what reckon would be to find another 7 iron as nice?

Richard, the TA sets I compared to with have factory shafts are as follows:

TA True Temper R300: first step at eleven inches.

TA Tour Step R: first step at seven and a quarter, next two at one inch.

TA True Temper S: first step at seven and a quarter and the second two steps at two inches.

for a TA five iron,

TA Tour Step S: first step at seven inches, next two at one inch each.

Hope that helps you.

Best.

I had a few sets redone with KBS Tour 90 R and really like the way they play.

I'm planning on re-using the the ones with the the Tour Step Rs for my BeCu's.

Haveing trouble posting pics. Pink line says file too big to load. Only one pic. Anyone else having a problem posting pics. Anyway, I found an excellent Ben Hogan PS 3 putter. (8802 style) yesterday at Play it Again. 11.99 plus tax. If anyone wants it I’ll buy it and mail it to you for just cost of club and postage.

Do any of the dealers come to Rosemont anymore? Long time ago, it was a great place to see some really neat stuff. It’s where I first got introduced to Wilson buttonbacks. There was a dealer there who probably brought several hundred Mac EOMs, it was sweet. Then it became a manufacturers and resort show. This was around the time eBay was in its infancy. The club collectors stopped coming. :(

no classics that I could find. the 'pre-driven' models at two stalls were average used sticks .

made two full laps thru the place.

some interesting finds today:

a Mizuno Nick Faldo 60 degree wedge, very nice condition, S300 shaft, GP grip.

Buchart Nicholls 8802 brass head style putter with sight line on top, Tacki Mac paddle grip. very nice condition.

Canadian Club gold plated Bullseye style putter, Leather grip with gold accent, new condition.

Nicklaus VIP two iron, missing the ferrule. shaft type unknown. very small remnant of the label. just a bit of a gold stripe.

does not match the step pattern of my Response Stiffs, though the head does match up in shape and script.

the first step is at twelve and three quarters, next two at about one and three quarters.

any assistance would be appreciated.

I just grabbed this:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123333236674

A bit beat up but should be fun to work on. Can anyone tell me anything about the shaft that’s in these? Kaplan makes it sound like it’s pretty soft - for the “sweet swinger” apparently :)

From the pics, I would guess a Dynamic R, or somewhere near the equivalent
