I think the Copper Classic beryllium were offered as components from Golfsmith.

Thanks, that makes sense to me....I don't remember pulling the shafts on these & I used to "haunt" North Austin Golfsmith for "stuff", especially when Golfsmith was having their "going out of business" sale. Since I have no beryllium set, I'll shaft these....should be fun

Well....found I had enough Grafalloy Pro Custom S shafts to do the irons...now, just need to cut to my proper length needs, check swing weights, prue, shaft the heads & grip....work, work, work - thought I was supposed to be retired LOL!

also found an Golfsmith Carbon Stick II shaft for the Chicago Classic wedge...

I picked up a set of early 70’s Powerbilt irons and woods a couple days ago. I went to my storage locker and started organizing things and discovered a set of Scotch Blades that I forgot I had acquired.

Wonderful find, especially when they were "hidden" in your own space...Congratulations

hmmm....I have a set of those also - I put them out for sale when I have a vending slot at a local flea market....and have a PowerBilt Scotch Blade forged set, that are in the 'keep' file

Ah yes, Chicago Golf.  I'm not sure if they were at all related to Chicago Cutlery, I'll leave that to another.  They offered components for a good length of time, were moderately well regarded.  They had an interesting diagonal to their cavity back, I think one of the clubhead models was the 944DB?  Don't quote me on that, LOL.

They also made some ok putters, these arent my pics as mines in slightly better condition, but my dad gave me this model blade for free forever ago. and i putted pretty decently with it.

found a set of Hogan Round Sole irons (3 thru E), # on hosel K53943 match for set,\ Apex 3 shafts & old GP corded grips....amongst, of all places, a dozen or so fishing rod/reel combos....heads need alot of cleaning/refurb, but shafts & grips are okay...
The Ben Hogan name seems to be green....with the shafts, are these a ladies version?

sorry 'bout the pic, best I could do at this time....doesn't really show the green lettering....

well, I read your post...so went back to search even more, to find where I heard of Chicago Cutlery associated w/golf...there was a set of Chicago Cutlery Level Two clubs on Worthpoint site. So I googled Chicago Cutlery Golf and found this from 31 years ago
https://www.tampabay.com/archive/1991/11/12/clubs-from-clearwater-create-a-buzz/

The Chicago components were some of the very best available in the late 80s and through the 90s.  I saw a set of their black Melonite finished heads that had been fitted with gold color graphite shafts hanging on the wall of the Bardmoor (Largo, FL) pro shop back in the late 80s.  At that time I thought they were the coolest clubs I had ever seen.

What is flex on the shaft?  I believe those should have Apex shafts.  As long as they are 3 or 4 you should be good.  I don't think they were still making the shafts thinner at the top of the hosel like I have seen with older Hogans that still had ProFit shafts like the Power Thrusts.

Yes, name is green. Nope, not ladies. Early apex shaft, serial number suggests stiff flex (4).

I believe Hogan only made Princess for ladies clubs.

FWIW this head has lots of sole camber, front to back and heel to toe. A game improvement club before it's time. An underrated classic. Have fun!

not sure what "FWIW" means....
I have at least one set of Princess clubs (have a dim memory of a starter set somewhere, maybe a partial), 3 thru E...don't think they've been played much.

All have a shiny bluish/greenish shaft label "AMF Ben Hogan", & there is a very very small sunburst-like thingy w/ what looks like a "P" in the middle (had to use a magnifing glass to even see enough to make a guess)

Two of the clubs, the 7 & the 9, have the original blue Ben Hogan AMF design grips; one, the 4, has a US Grip; one, the 6, has Tour w/3 stars grip; four, the 3, 5,8,& E, have Grip Technologes grips.

I found no numbers anywhere on head or hosel. And they are all pinned.

As a Yule gift this past season, I gifted my youngest GrandSon with a starter set of Ben Hogan Jr w/metal woods...similar in looks/design as the Princess shown

Not clubs, but found some interesting golf paraphernalia while decluttering my mom's house.

1923 Walker Cup program before it was called the Walker Cup.

Some Augusta ephemera & a Forrester club (wooden shaft but doesn't look like hickory) that i don't know much about. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this is the link for the program but it does list Robert Gardner as a Co-Captain and also has a Davidson Herron listed as a player.  These appear to be the autographs I see listed on the program which is pretty cool....

https://walkercup.co.uk/1923-st-andrews/

Robert A Gardner appears to have won 2 U.S. Amateurs so that explains his selection as a Captain.

Don't know values but ephemera is one of the most collected areas in golf at the moment.

I suspect that the "pre-Walker Cup" programme would attract a lot of interest.

Thanks, kinda what i figured...went to a walker cup site and they had pics of programs from all but 2 of the cups... 1922 &1923(which was apparently at St. Andrews). So it's likely pretty rare. I also sent a picture, and it's already up on the site.

Value isn't that important(at least for now) as they're going to be framed in my lil golf corner with all the persimmon, steel, and leather... But more curious about the club. It's supposedly a family club, but anyone who could tell me more is long gone.

Yep, those seem to be autographs...2 different inks. It's a little treasure for sure.

I am sure you have already stumbled upon this link since it was an easy google search, but it provides a pretty good backround for George Forrester of Elie...
