I'm going by the instructions Troon gave me in regards to booking groups larger than 12, that this is their policy. One lump sum payment, vs individual payment. Brady asked for this.

So basically, if you want to call them and take over setting this up and speak to them and try to arrange an individual payment, then ill forward you the contacts.

Otherwise, you Paypal me the $, and you are prepaid, nothing due at the course. If something pops up a few days before and you can't make it, I can refund you, as long as they don't charge me.

So, the day of the event, I am responsible for paying approx. $1500 for the outing and I don't want to have to go around and collect everyone's cash the day of.

Matt and I have set up a bunch of these before too, and though I've never had to do something like this, I'm pretty sure Matt had to put his credit card up for deposit when we did outings at southern dunes and grayhawk.

Really it's not a big deal to prepay for your time, it weeds out the flakes we've dealt with and takes the financial burden off the organizer if, for some reason, there is a no call/no show and they want to be lame and charge me.

Mark has proven himself trustworthy over a long enough period of time that this shouldn't be an issue.

I also agree this should cut down on the flake out factor.

I had to put up my cc for the first outing at the dunes and also grayhawk. Maybe I was braver for taking on that risk, but since then we have also had more guys commit then flake at the last minute vs early outings. From other dealings with troon cough whirlwind cough I don't blame Mark for wanting to secure funds since he is taking all the responsibility for the group.

I will need to submit a final head count to troon on Monday the 22nd, meaning I will need full payment from everyone that is pending and their +1's or I cannot guarantee that they will have a spot to play.
