Most courses were blindsided by this. I have a teetime at calderone farms in grass lake. They're ready for you!

I just wonder if all courses will be ready to open up with the proper precautions in place. I doubt there are people in pro shops taking tee times today and it doesn’t look like golf now has many options at this point.

My local course won't open until May 1st because they aren't ready. Others will be open starting tomorrow.

So glad for you guys in Michigan that courses are opening back up (I am in Cincinnati). I play up there one or twice a year on guys golf trips and just love it...the whole damn state...for golf...I'm a die hard buckeye so we can agree to disagree on football :-)

 

I knew something was up when the lady booking our trip called today and said she was able to finally finalize everything.

I walked 18 today. It was great. I love seeing the course full of walkers and no carts.

I got an email from Harbor Shores saying you can walk only, good luck with that!

Same at my private opening up tomorrow, walking only, guests allowed. No caddies. Much easier walk

Played 9 today at Royal Oak-extending my consecutive months played in MI streak to 62. I was totally ready to just add an * due to coronavirus. It was great to get back on the course and keep the streak alive.

Walked 18 at Metamora today. My pushcart is awesome. Had a total blast. Everyone there was grinning ear to ear like they just won the lottery. I'm in such an amazing mood right now. My wife is very happy I'm no longer acting crazy!

I’m glad the option to play is back. I don’t think I’ll play other than by myself in the immediate future, but since I’m working from home and my company is being pretty flexible with schedules, and a ton of the people I work with are on the west coast, I will probably plan to try to get out a couple times a week in the early mornings to walk 18 holes, weather permitting.

I played Friday with one person and in a foursome today. I saw a few larger groups out there, but even with four, staying 6 feet apart wasn’t an issue.

We're gonna try it for the first time on Saturday. Have a 9 and 910 tee time. Heard good things about it.

Got an email from my club that says

“unfortunately governor whitmore updated Executive Order 2020-59 and we are not permitted to open our driving range”

 

course is open, but let’s hope this doesn’t trickle down and all course close off practice areas because you might be 6 feet from someone

Old school parkland country club. Was in good shape. Greens were bumpy and could still see punch marks. They rolled ok though. They didnt have a starter and it was kind of cluster f. I went off 20 mins after my time.

Ha! It’s nit so much practice but for people working who only have 30-45 min to get outside. That was me most of last year unfortunately

Exactly! I had 45 mins yesterday while my younger one was napping. I ran to the range to find out which 3 wood was gonna make the bag this year. I need my range time!

I'm bummed to hear that Little Traverse Bay has been closed/sold. I'm sure I missed the discussion on it here. I'm just glad that I was able to play it last fall.

Nope. No access to clubhouse, no rentals of clubs, carts, etc. Literally show up 10 mins b4 time and go to the tee. Cant wait!
