Z6 good for a laugh

I just received my Bushnell Z6 Jolt. Due to an unfortunate ladder accident I can't play until next season, but I wanted to make sure it worked. This is my first range finder.

 

So . . . it wasn't very satisfactory. The image looked like it was a mile away and I couldn't read the words. I also took a while to find the mode button, but I blame the instructions forthat one.

 

After a few more minutes of frustration I realized I WAS LOOKING IN THE WRONG END!

 

It works great now.

Traded the Z6 in for the Leupold GX-4i2. Couldn't be happier.

Had a z6 and sold it. Back in the market. What made you like the leupold more?

When in the store I was testing both of them. That's hard cause of being inside and really nothing to measure. Left with the Z6 figured try it and if I didn't like it bring it back. I returned it after a week. Took the Leupold to the course and was very happy with it. The Leupold is so clear and crisp in vision. It's fast and when you lock on to the flag it beeps. The GX-4i2 comes with 2 face plates that you can swap out, one for slope and one that conforms to the rules.

Funny, I had the GX-4i2 and sold it after only a few rounds. Very nice feeling unit, but was not that impressed with its ability to acquire pins. I have not used the Z6 jolt on course yet, but the few times I have demoed the unit, I like the display and feel of the unit better.....different strokes for different folks.

On the plus side, the self LASIK surgery you just performed by staring into the laser emitting end has improved your vision to 20/20!
