I went with the pro version x2...

Felt solid, felt a bit more iron like. The x hot seemed like just any other hybrid.

X2 pro outperformed the X pro for me. I had the X2 pro model for a while until I found the SLDR hybrid.

The X pro had a very shallow face, which I didn't care for. I hit moon balls with it.

The X2 pro face was deeper and the head was an overall better shape and easier to look at. But there was still something I didn't like about the look at address but could never really put my finger on just what it was.

I've never hit the regular version of either model.

XHot looks better and performs better. I dont like the stubbed toe look of the X2. I went to upgrade but the X2 couldn 't beat the XHot. Long, consistent and very forgiving. Th X2 has a springy face and for me resulted in variable distance. No doubt both are good - would image the XHot could be had for a steal now so I guess it would have a price advantage as well. FWIW - my fitter said no-one was getting drastically better numbers with the X2.

Here is the results of some 5 hybrid testing I did between both clubs (normal not the Pro version). Normally I swing my driver around 90-93 mph. So I'm a short knocker, but my results were pretty interesting:

Club |Club speed | Carry | Total | Launch | Side | Back | Offline
X2 hot 5h | 79.2 | 172 | 190 | 17* | 924 | 4465 | 30
X Hot 5h | 75.4 | 164 | 175 | 20* | 221 | 4687 | 12
Trilogy 5h | 74.9 | 167 | 179 | 21* | 915 | 3470 | 16

I threw in my current gamer (Trilogy) for reference to see how accurate the monitor was. The Trilogy is usually my 170 club in ideal conditions. So the monitor was pretty accurate.

Out of the hybrids I tested that day (the 3 mentioned above plus JPX EZ Fli-hi, Baffler XL) the xhot was probably the easiest to hit, toss up between it and the Baffler.
I just remember the ball flight of the Xhot was pretty high and repeatable. All 3 hits had minimal side spin. By far the lowest side spin of any club tested.

The X2hot had a more piercing flight. I had a chance to hit this club at an outdoor demo day and on that day it had the lowest flight of any hybrid I hit. Also for some reason my swing speed was much higher with it than the others. Not sure why as I hit shots with each, rotating each club. So it's not like I warmed up with one club and ended with the x2.
For me If I was looking at all out distance the X2 would probably take the cake but I tend to use my 5h mostly for approach shots and to hit over tall trees and prefer a nice high soft landing and accuracy is a premium. I was a bit apprehensive that if I switched to the x2 hot I might lose the ease of launch in the 3 and 4 hybrids as well.

I'm a true hacker. I even game a 31* hybrid. It's pretty fun to hit. Never was s fan of long and mid irons

The X2 has orange on it. That makes it a non-starter for me. Roll Tide. :)

Good write up here

I prefer the less cambered sole and smaller offset of the X2 Hot. Plus, per Callaway, they are 11 yards longer.

 • 2 weeks later...

Had to take advantage of the 2 for 1 X2Hot hybrid sale as well. At that price how can you go wrong? Got the 4 and 5 and managed to get several rounds in before the weather here in New England went bad. None of the HH (hybrid hook) that I've battled before. Distance was not egregiously better but will say dispersion was greatly improved. Use them mostly to reach greens. Happy so far. I find it odd that so many online retailers are still at the retail price from this past summer. Hello?
