Finau plays a mid-upper 80 gram shaft tipped! That should help keep he spin down with any head! He beats on it!

 

On course thoughts will be interesting, but looks like around here might be a while J ..... :(

 

I wonder what length he plays it at, has to be like 44.5". Yeah the snow today didn't help but luckily it was only a dusting.

 

Postive AOA and a sweet sweet release Tony does have

It's the only one of it's kind for now but that's going to change. My wife actually does stuff like this on the side (sewing) and I finally convinced her to make some headcovers as she was always busy with other projects for people. She has agreed to make some and see how it goes and if people like them she will make more with different prints ect...

Especially with the boxing glove style headcovers every OEMs seem to use now, they just slide right into them and take out some ugly gashes.

 

EDIT: So the M4 launches lower than the M3 460? Lastly, have done any messing around with Evnroll putters at all?

M4 by all accounts including TM themselves say m4 launches lower. I've tried Evnroll and didn't like them. Wasn't a fan of the feel and i don't do well with grooves in a putter.

When does fairway wood testing begin......?

 

It's always a crap shoot in the winter but probably in the next month or so. I snuck a quick 9 in yesterday and hit the ball pretty well especially the Ping G400 LST driver. I don't know what it is but i hit so many fairways with it, yesterday was 6 for 6. I certainly don't hit the middle every time but even on heel or toe shots the ball behaves.

 

Fwy woods i'm interested in comparing.

It's kinda weird, i do like the shape of the fwy woods and should probably include them but I think of them as slow and short. Same as you i guess. In the past I tried to play the G and it just ballooned on my off the tee.

Also, funny story on my ESZ, it's been wild, high, short and spinny for a couple months, thought I just sucked and couldn't find the middle, got looking at the club and noticed the damn face had been caved in...got a new head and it actually goes where it should now...but the scars and your liking of the g400 has me thinking I should get one. I have the g400 fairways already, 5wood is awesome and will stay forever. You'd like the 3 stretch...

Have the 8.5 LST, Epic SZ was 9*. That's crazy about the cracked face i'm surprised you didn't notice sooner lol I'm sure the G400 fairways are great and i will make sure to test them. It all comes down to what driver i bag. I have zero reason to change what i'm using but i'm still going to try and unseat it with the new stuff :D We are a sick bunch :russian_roulette: :cheesy:

J have you tried the 917F3 at all? Some don't like the deep face, but with the Surefit hosel plus moveable inner weight it's pretty easy to setup the flight, and bias to help fight or help a certain right/left, or left/right miss

To be honest i'm moving away from the deeper faced smaller footprint fairway woods. I want something a little easier to hit especially off the deck.

I'm going to order a rogue sub z fairway. Since its glued, I need to make a loft choice, 15 or 13.5. Any observations you can share to sway me one way or the other as I usually play my 3 wood at 14....

I'd go 15 with the SZ and 13.5 in Rogue standard. Can't go wrong either way. The SZ is pretty low spin so if you hit the 3 wood off the deck at all a 13 would be tough.
