I went there and brought these photos of new cadence series from Ping to be released in February 2015.

 

There will be availability of black or blue inserts/grips

 

 

 

PING Golf Cadence TR Putters

 

Product is expected to begin shipping February 12, 2015

 

A family of putters engineered in response to PING’s research proving that stroke tempo is a key to consistency, which is the #1 factor in holing more putts. Cadence models are offered in traditional and heavy options, allowing golfers to be fit for their stroke tempo to improve their consistency and accuracy from any distance. Traditional models have a blue grip and blue aluminum face insert. Heavy models have a black grip and a black steel insert. (The Anser 2 CB counter-balanced is available only in a 400g head.) Offered in various head shapes across all stroke types, Cadence TR putters benefit from the next generation of true-roll technology: grooves vary in width and depth for exceptional distance control.

 

Features:

• Weight options: traditional (blue grip and blue aluminum insert) and heavy (black grip and black steel insert). Roughly 25g difference between them, depending on model.
  
• True-roll grooves vary in depth and width, providing consistent ball speeds and distances
  
• Response and feel similar to a traditional steel face
  
• Models to fit any stroke type in various head shapes:
  
• Straight stroke: B65 (blade); Tomcat C (mid-mallet)
  
• Slight arc: Anser 2 (blade), Anser w (blade), Rustler (mallet), Ketsch (mallet), Anser 2 CB (counter-balanced)
  
• Strong arc: Shea H (mid-mallet)
  
• Ketsch traditional and heavy models are distinguished by the weight of their sole plates (355g and 388g). Their TR grooves are precision-milled directly into the face.

I was hoping for a new milled line. These do nothing for me.

Interesting that they have gone back to inserts for the face.

I noticed that quite a few of the tour staff seems to prefer the insert models.

Got to see these before Xmas with our Rep and thought they were a good addition. Also both grips they had almost seemed like a version of a superstroke slim in rubber

Like the black but don't like inserts. Are these replacing the Scottsdale line? They seem quite similar...

Amen. These just look like more of the same, with a blue insert. I guess it isn't really that surprising, as Ping tends to do the "evolution not revolution" thing with its putters, where its incremental change rather than a lot of new stuff.

Still, a new Redwood line would be cool.

The funny thing is that while almost every manufacturer is offering the super sales Dale Head putter, Ping who was the designer is not offering it anymore.

No offense to anyone who might like these or the cadence putters, but it seems like ping is designing the graphics to appeal more to women. If these are truly targeted to the mens section, I feel they are going to fail horribly.

I'm just letting know about these new putters but the reality is that I prefer the previous designs. By the way, Rhapsody series are for women and display a different Ping logo.

Does anyone know if its possible for Ping to remove the lighter face plate and install the heavier face plate?
