The only thing I learned from that debacle is that making logical and reasonable counterpoints is also known as "trolling."

Yeah, debacle would be a good word for the whole thing from start to finish. They open a thread for discussion, and then they're shocked, shocked I tell you, that some people just might have a difference of opinion, or believe they over-reacted. Apparently having a difference of opinion in a discussion thread is grounds for the penalty box. I know I'm going out on a limb, but I wonder how many posters who agreed with the moderators were banned? Somewhere in the range of zero to zero I'm guessing.

Anyway, I'm ready to put the whole hamfisted thing behind, and focus on the upcoming season. With the "new and improved" rules in place, I'm sure were going to have a great time here, as everyone knows "It's Different Out Here (Except When Different Is Offensive to 1% of the Population, and Then You'd Better Toe the Line Quickly) ™".

If we need to issue more timeouts, I have no issues with that. He received a timeout not for questioning management but as I clearly stated, he failed to head warnings I gave to stop posting in the thread as it was past the stage of a debate but being argumentative. This is not a democracy but, I do not mind people speaking their mind. When people fail to heed my warnings then they will face two options. They can give themselves a timeout or be issued one.

I will have zero tolerance going forward for any snide comments or remarks concerning this decision.
