not sure why everyone is complaining about these. its innovation. last years golo was a hit and that was all steel, not he took a winning putter and made it more forgiving? sign me up.. yes it may not be for the golf purest but thats why you have the select line for more traditional shape. the golo line is outside the box and in my opinion sweet. i was hesitant at first with the looks but once i went into the store and tried the golo 5 . its sets up so well, aligns easy and i tried 15 putters in the store over a few hours and put it to the test with my machine and besides going in the hole it has the best proximity to the hole for me. so its now in my bag.

it hard now not for everyones design to mesh. this is like a golo met a kombi. odyssey new t line looks like a detour, futura steals from tank etc etc. this is much more innovating than a mush insert.

Picked up a GoLo 6 last weekend to replace the futura x5r I'd been gaming for a couple months. I simply could not acclimate to the (IMHO) very non-scotty-like feel or sound of the fx5r. After only a couple of rounds, I can tell you that the GoLo 6 is, BY FAR, the best OTC offering from Scotty since he stopped using carbon steel in the basic line. The distinct balance, the solid feel and the reassuring sound are all here, in spades. No clinks, no clanks - just purity. I am the last one to jump on the high tech bandwagon on anything, but this putter just flat out works, high tech multimaterial construction notwithstanding. Point and shoot, baby. That's what I like and that's what I'm getting. The fact that we can get this kind of feel combined with this kind of stability - and without looking down at contrived and cantilevered weights, wings and widgets - is just stunning.

All ye naysayers: Do NOT judge these books by their covers. Go out and roll one - you might be very surprised.

I have the 5r that I really enjoy. I also have the previous version golo to compare. Personally, I prefer the aluminum feel to the more dead feeling deep milling. The 5r is also slightly bigger than the previous 5.
