Wally if nothing else you should play two balls in from hole 13...you were -1 on your ball when we got forced in so I think you ought to be able to resume that.

Also my vote is for a live draft on the morning of the event. Too big of a pain in the butt to do it early then have cancellations and replacements that affect the pairings.

i doubt i will win the bid but im going to try anyway. thanks for the offer Mark but it is the CELEBRITY pro am, so unless you can make yourself famous for the day, iy just wouldnt be the same......

Most people don't know this but Mark is actually a pretty big time celebrity. There's a reason why he never plays on Sundays half the year, he's too busy throwing touchdowns for the Texans.

Do you guys carry a desert club to prevent taking bits out of your nice ones? I only carry 12 clubs, so I was clicking through Dallasgolf's eBay store and they have some cheap interesting single iron options in a 6 or 7.

LOL! Awesome term. Played a new to me course today and they had some rough dead ground between a few holes.
I had to punch out under some tree limbs with my still pretty newish and shiny 4I. That got me thinking about this "specialty" club
That 41 was much more bladey than professional.

I tear up one or two of my clubs, and a wedge. I expect to replace a wedge a year anyway.

I'd really like that to be the only option. Local range was having a club sale for charity this week, so I picked up a CG2 6 iron for $1. Think that'll do just fine.

Trying to work on some contest ideas and giveaways. Since this is a team event I am trying to find a vendor willing to do something small for the 14 team winners.

Any other ideas for contests? maybe a CTP on 4 and 11, low gross, worst round consolation prize?

unfortunately a worst round or Low gross requires everyone to play their ball out regardless of their partners score/situation on the hole. Which defeats the speed gaining purposes of cart best ball.

Oh and if you do a long drive hole I would recommend 7, 8, 13 or 16
