Snell makes a great ball but they are still out of yellow.  I was hoping to get a few more rounds before the season ends but it looks like I will have to wait until spring, which is ok.

MTB X yellow is back in stock.. but wont last long... the yellow balls have been a big challenge with supply due to Covid and fulfilling all our PO's... but yellow MTB X are on line now, til they run out again.. haha...

Who would have guessed that yellow is so popular?  Remember back in the days you were debating?

Is there any way to order the MTB Black in yellow now to take advantage of the BF deal? And then just have them shipped when available.

I gotta say that I think the MTB Black is the complete ball for me. I've been gaming the X for some time now and I love how it comes off the driver and woods - love it. Hot and long as heck. But, I felt like I was having trouble compressing the ball with my irons. Felt like I was lacking a little control on approach shots. I realized my best rounds were with a softer ball the few times I played them in the past (both the Get Sum and Black). I tore it up once last year with a Black. So, I ordered some and started teeing them up regularly the past couple weeks and I really like the Black. It's a fantastic ball. From what I understand it's not a really soft ball, but it certainly feels much softer to me so it must be better matched to my swing speed. Plenty straight for me too when that's what I need from a shot. I love the high-number versions...

Got my delivery of 5doz MTB-Black and 5doz X.

Examined all 120 balls, would say that for every sleeve of the Black, 1.5 of the balls have one or more raised/unfinished "dots" on or near the seam. They are raised/rough enough that they catch a fingernail and can't slide over it. There were some of these in the 5doz MTB-X but far fewer, maybe 4-5 balls in the entire 60.

Is this a common/known issue? If the dots were smooth and finished over I wouldn't think anything of it but they are kind of sharp and rough as I mentioned. I examined a dozen ProV1, Tour Bx, and Z-Star and didn't see anything like this.

I am on my 10th dozen of the MTB-X in Yellow and I have had no issues. I hit down pretty hard on the ball with my wedges too.

I just looked through 24 for balls from my new shipment.  I noticed two golf balls with very small bumps near the seam.  I'm talking like the size of a ballpoint pen.

This is not going to affect playability for me.

I got 5 dozen white MTB-X during the Black Friday sale.  I usually play the yellows and was bummed, but in the end, it's the performance that matters.  Big shout out to Dean.

Got my first three rounds in with the Snell MTB-X. Really impressed so far, been absolutely crushing it with driver. Played today and hit 4 drives over 300 yards, including a blast about 320. Gave one to my stepson to try, and he was bombing them over 290 yards too. Bites pretty well on the green for me, doesn't back up as much as the Kirkland OG 4 piece, but right around what the Srixon Z star XV's were doing for me.

Played another round with the MTB-X, this time in very windy conditions. Really impressive performance in the wind. Hit a few drives pretty far into a straight 10-15 mph wind, and had a nice boring trajectory that still managed to go around 250 yards. A couple of guys we teamed up with never heard of Snell, so I explained who Dean is, etc. The wind calmed down on the back nine later, and I hit an absolute bomb around 320 yards, hit half a sand wedge to about 6 inches away, hopped and stopped right next to the hole. The guys were like, "I have to try those balls" When the round was over I gave each one a ball to try next time they played. What a great ball!!!

Yep. the X is really good in the wind. I actually lost a couple Xs when I was playing windy links golf and launched them out over the nether-lands off the tee thinking the wind would push them back over the fairway. Nope. They just bored right though the wind where I had aimed them - haha.

I found the same thing! I was in some really swirly sideways winds on some holes, and aimed way to the side to let the wind work it back, and they just bored through and didn't move nearly as much as I thought. Can't wait to play these when it's a little warmer and I'm not wearing a bunch of layers to stay warm.
