I just ordered another two doz MTBX...love this ball currently after some of the best putting and ball striking this year. It’s interchangeable for me with the ProV1X and that price. Thank you Snell Golf.

I can kick myself for not stocking up when they were available in Australia. Have been out of stock for several weeks and new stock only expected in July. Finding something that plays similarly to MTB-X in the meantime is giving me fits.

I would go for the Srixon Z star XV buy 2 get one free deal going on right now. Pretty similar ball.

The MTB X ball is not on back order.. if you order MTB X balls, they will ship that day with 2 day shipping...

I can confirm this, I ordered 2 dozen early last week, and got them on Friday.

Returning to Snell.  I've been playing a number of other balls.  Too many to mention.  Looking for more distance, more spin, better scores.  I've had a few dozen Snell MTB-X and MTB Black in the basement gathering dust.  My latest foray into the golf ball selection process led me to the Bridgestone e12 Connect.  A little less firm, which I liked, a little more distance... liked that too, and seemed to go a little straighter.  After my round last Saturday playing the e12 Connect, I just felt that perhaps it wasn't the right ball for me.

 

So I grabbed a dozen MTB Blacks and headed to the practice range.  First off, wow, what nice performance on chips into the green.  Not quite hop and stop, but much better check-up than any ball I've played previously.  I've also been struggling with distance control on putts.  Well, the Black just seem to be much, much better on distance control.  I attribute this to the feedback I was getting when putting.  

 

I want to see how it performs in my round tomorrow before I sell the farm, but at this point, it just feel right.

Been alternating some holes with my Snell MTB-X and left dash ProV1 the last few rounds. Very similar balls, really like them both. The Snell seems to spin back just a few feet more than the left dash, and both balls are super long, have hit a few drives 330 plus with both. Both balls are durable as heck, have a little over 2 rounds on each ball, and that includes a few tree smacks on both. Since the Snell is about $20 cheaper a dozen, it's the winner for me.

to be honest, i would be happy to just get some yellow balls made and shipped to us.. Covid has really made things challenging for supply.. Raw materials just to even make the balls were delayed for months, and the factory was shut down due to covid... so supply has been limited.. things are starting to move again, and the factory is back up and running at limited allocation capacity.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel so we are staying positive that things will get back to normal by the end of Q3....

I did in fact get 2 dozen MTB X balls. It was the MTB that is on back order apparently.  Glad I was able to get them as my stock was getting low (due in large part that I hit a few into a few ponds over the weekend - not a great ball striking day unfortunately).  Hopefully Dean can get the stocks of both balls back up again to keep us devotees well supplied.

Played my best round of the year (Crestwood in Rehoboth) today with my MTBs. Lost one in the water on 7, (bad swing) and that was it. Everything else was as on-target as my changing (for the better) swing allows. 🙂 Still in honeymoon season with these balls, and it's been a LONG honeymoon. 🙂

 

Played well enough, got invited to play Shelter Harbor in a few weeks... last time I played that, I was a 17 or 18 hdcp. Looking forward to it already.

I've been alternating lately between the CSX LS and MTB-X.  Both are fantastic.  Distance off the tee is pretty much the same with the MTB-X launching maybe 1* higher.  Spin is similar.  Irons is where they are different.  The MTB-X spins more.  It seems like they would be better for firmer greens.  They're both clicky and hard which is what I prefer.  Do not like marshmallow balls.  Green side spin for both balls is excellent.  Both are superior wind balls compared to any other brand.  Luckily I still have 10 dozen MTB-X and 4 dozen CSX LS.  Yes, I like to hoard balls so sue me, lol.

Played yesterday in pretty windy conditions. Once again the Snell MTB-X came through with flying colors. Bore through the wind with no ballooning at all. Missed a hole in one by a little bit. Landed my tee shot about 8 inches short of the hole, and the Snell zipped back about 6 feet, and the ball mark was as big as I'd ever seen. Will I ever get a dang hole in one!!!!!!!??????

I feel your pain.  I have hard time importing my goods from Asia with YUGE spike in shipping cost and delay.  we see inflation in many (golf) goods now and more in near future. 

For all, I strongly recommend to make Christmas purchase now than later.  it is very difficult business environment at all levels.

I didnt phrase that right, the yellow MTB's are out....trust me I am a Snell fan...I jsut wanta see MTB Black yellow high numbers
