Option number 1 for me.

honest question. if you are interested in more spin why would you not say option 5? the only difference is that it provides a color option.

Honest answer, I never use yellow balls so they don't need to spend time designing or manufacturing yellow balls for me. I just answered from my perspective.

#5 if the higher spin is only with the short irons and around the green, otherwise #1.

Cost more to produce yellow cast urethane, therefore product cost more, Dean is producing high end tour performance at a very reasonable price point.

Producing a yellow ball will have a higher price point for a limited sales number.

Dean's business model is offering tour quality and performance at very reasonable direct to consumer prices.

For those who want a yellow ball there was a thread on here on how to dye balls yellow.

If you go back thru the pages here you will find Dean's answer to the yellow question.

I pick number 5 - higher spin in white and yellow. BUT, only if that increase in spin comes around the green and doesn't show up as increased spin off the driver face! :)

If it means that the whites will remain at a lower price point, by not producing the yellows, then I'd like to amend my answer and choose #1. I only play white and was choosing #5 so as not to exclude the people that DO play yellow. But I will be selfish and say that if it hurts the costs of my whites - yellow, you're ****ing OUT!

there is a lot of speculation in the cost side, and was not part of the original question so i think he is just assuming it will be more expensive. just my 2 cents.

I wish driver spin would be addressed in the options.

I agree, unless that is something he'll try to make standard in all golf balls he puts into the market place.

I also agree with you. If Dean engineers the MTB to have low sidespin off the driver regardless of the iteration, it will make our choices easier.

I only have to go back one page to see where Dean asked for input on six possible future options and four of the six options HE OFFERED contain the possibility of him offering a yellow ball.

Besides...........dye can be messy.

Hey, colored balls are getting more and more popular. I agree if quality control becomes an issue scrap it otherwise why not try to win more players to you product?

Lately, I have been trying out new "cost efficient" premium golf balls. l had the opportunity to play MTB two weeks ago, absolutely love them!

I'm still working on my swing but, drives where straighter and longer with this ball. I had higher percentage of fairway hits, a few more greens in regulation (I'm a high handicapper so any time I hit a green in regulations it's time to celebrate), and I had a better feel for my putts (sunk a 30 footer).

I highly recommend the MTB. BTW, I also played with the MG Tour C4 great ball too (better performance to price ratio @ 19.99/dz).

You sound like me.

I'm wondering what this new ball will be. Can't wait.

I picked option 1 as opposed to 5 because, based on comments Dean has made about the difficulty of a 2nd color using the technology he employs, be it yellow or otherwise, it could potentially add to the price and I don't need that! Also, yellow does nothing for me as our 1st and 10th holes are on either side of the driving range and our range balls are yellow and typically litter both fairways and are found elsewhere on the course as well.

Compared to the MTB or ??? Not sure what the baseline is....I'd like to see a MTBx, that isn't crazy firm, just slightly firmer then the MTB.

I'm very happy with the current MTB and don't care coloured golf balls but there seems to be a demand for them so I would vote for anything yellow for the coloured ball players of the world.

I just got a new Evenroll ER5 putter as a birthday present from my beautiful wife. I have been spending a lot of time on the putting green working with the new putter and trying out a few golf balls including my personal favorite pro v1, Taylormade TP5, and Srixon Z star. Last night I threw a Snell MTB into the the mix. Out of this group of excellent balls there was one ball that keep seeming to find the hole more than the others. It also had the great feel of the Pro v. It was the Snell that I had gotten from a friend.

Today I ordered a dozen of Snells and I am anxious to try them on the course. I am hoping they can displace the Pro Vs as like many I am tired of paying $50 for a dozen balls.

Btw....the Evenroll putter is incredible and very much as advertised. The only new club in my bag I like better is my new Ping G driver w/ tour 80 shaft. Sweet!
