Lefty Lajosi Damascus high MOI mallet

It's unfair that our good friends lefties can't find the milled putters they want but I found this gem that is rare: a lefty Damascus mallet high MOI milled putter with copper inserts from Kari Lajosi.

 

On the technical side it is Damascus steel with a black oxide finish, Copper face insert, copper site line inlay & copper sole lizard inlay. Weight is

370g, 70º lie and 3º loft with a 34" Black chrome double bend shaft, face balanced.

 

I have to admit that I'm an Anser style player but I found this putter fantastic as the art and craftsmanship are together in a single piece. It should be such a great gamer and for sure its lefty owner should be very happy of using it.

 

I guess that this will give Mikey a clue of what he's expecting.

I held this in my hands when I visited Kari's workshop last Thursday.

As good as those pics are, they do not do this putter justice!

Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. I love the use of the large billet of Damascus, the familiar yet still unique shape (the radiuses sole really shows off the Damascus well), the use of multiple materials, and also, maybe especially the lizard insert. Great job.

Thanks guys. I designed this with Kari's help back in the summer. It turned out exactly as I envisioned it, at least the pictures look like I envisioned it. I expect it to arrive next week, just in time for the season.

The ironic thing is that I was asking Kari about a full mallet putter in Damascus about 2 months ago ! I had not thought of the lizard inlay, copper sight line or black shaft though ! Great ideas and workmanship
