Gotcha I completely understand, but that's the perks of being former assistant professional, now I stay home and take care of my 4 year old and 1 year old daughters while my wife is a doctor in the Air Force. I went from playing golf everyday to playing once or twice a month. My brother caddies at Nantucket and one of his regulars is hosting my family for our summer vacation up there.

[/quote]Make sure to take pics at Olde Sandwich play Pinehills a lot and always dream about going to Olde Sandwich but I am going to Bandon in a month was hoping to play the Cape before to warm up looks like its not going to happen unless we get 3 75 degree days in a row which I suppose could happen

I should be playing Nantucket sometime this year. Have a friend that owns a company on the island. Knows -everyone-.

Heading out there this June golf trip with my brother. What are a couple can't miss mom and pop places to eat? Will be playing this rotation of golf courses.

1. Brae burn

2. Old Sandwich

Then off to island to play the 3 there and relax a little bit, before heading back to Nebraska.

While at Old Sandwich, eat at the Rye Tavern. It's right down the road. On Nantucket, I like the Brotherhood of Thieves. After Brae Burn, try Sycamore in Newton Center.

No one is replying to this topic cause we all hate you for this trip and then just heading back to Nebraska likes its nothing lol

You need to ask people from NY, no one who lives here actually goes to Nantucket

TRUTH! (Or NJ)

Original request was from 2015 . . .

Oh... wow. Saw the "Feb" and missed the year. Stealthy bump there!

Thanks for the food tips I have tried them and love them. I like millies on nantucket though and black eyed susans for breakfast. Top 2 picks are sankaty and other is Nantucket Golf Club.

Is there a preference for Sankaty over Nantucket GC? Heading out in a few weeks and looks like I'll be able to play one or the other (but unlikely both). Which should I pick?

(BTW, my understanding is that Sankaty does NOT have public tee times any more in the shoulder seasons - they're very accommodating if your pro calls, but you can't just call and get out)

I like NGC over Sankaty head as far as course goes and you will also need caddy for ngc. Sankaty is more scenic though and has light house.

I ended up getting to play Sankaty (NGC was closed for the season.) I've been fortunate to have played a lot of nice places, but Sankaty might be one of the most scenic spots I've ever had the chance to play. Very enjoyable day out there - hope to get get out at NGC sometime in the future
