Those of you with the Vapor Pro Combos in DG PRO shafts, are you guys getting a crazy high ball flight/apex? My coach was commenting the other day that I hit my irons ridiculously high and I should look into a fitting. I know these are flighted shafts that supposedly lower the flight of the short/mid irons and increase it for the long irons but I'm getting crazy heights for all of them. I've never gotten a fitting before because I'm a cheapass who loves deal hunting but am definitely thinking about it now.

 

My driver on the other hand (Vapor Fly Pro in the stock Diamana S+60 shaft) has a very low flight but I believe this is due to my bad form for my driver swing. Still pretty new to the sport (1.5 yrs) so I'm not going to get a driver fitting until I can start hitting it better.

Yeah maybe. I know it's supposed to be a penetrating flight in the short irons, but it's not as low as I would expect. I wouldn't say I'm hitting them too high though. The long irons are as expected to me.

AMT shafts!! Seriously though, if you want an affordable fix, get some DG's or AMT's. If you want low flight, put Ctapers in.

Agreed, in my entirely unbiased opinion. Mine are starting to look a bit tired though - I assume these have been refinished in Satin?

Got lucky today with some Air Zoom 90 IT's at the Nike Outlet today.

 

They had a handful of pairs my size but wasn't crazy hyped bcuz I wasn't big on the all white. (Really want the olive) but I haven't seen in person so I figured I'd try on. Try them on they feel nice, notice the price was $99.99 not bad considering I got F&F coupons but still decided to pass. I go to put them away and the box right next to it was marked $49.99......

Sadly, I had that experience this morning installing a new grip on my putter. The manager did it, knows me well, set it aside to dry for me while I went and hit the new M2, which was amazeballs... :(

 

I come back and after 10 shots and some other guy is holding my putter waving it around wondering who it belonged to. I could've slapped him silly.
