Put this question in the quiet drivers thread but wanted to ask the nike experts in this thread also:

 

I have a vapor flex (first year black one) and its the best sounding driver ive ever used. Looking for a bit more forgiveness, ive tried the gapor speed and liked the results. Sound was ok.

 

Is the sound of the blue vapor fly much different to the vapor speed?

 

Opinions in online reviews are so different i wonder if some actually hit the fly. some say very loud ping, some say dull thud.

 

Grateful for any info or thoughts.

I don’t remember the Vapor Fly being loud. Not quite the thud of the Vapor Pro either.

I wish I still kept the black ops covert 2.0 performance driver. Very underrated.

Vapor fly pro 3 iron with black c taper 130x (no labels), bent to 18 degrees, matches my VPC//VP set with black 130x...cant wait for winter to be over

There's a guy on eBay with four 10-dozen auctions: two are for Platinums and two for the Black (with one being the Volt). His price is a bit high, but they are OBO auctions anyway. I'd buy more but I think the 80 dozen I currently have is a bit excessive! Awesome ball though.

I would pay a handsome sum to purchase those clubs brand new. The VR Split Cavity Felt amazing and the Wedges spun more than wedges ever produced.

Just noticed this Nike post and thought I'd jump in. This was a gracious gift to a friend from Sir Nick Faldo that ended up with me. It was used in a Wednesday practice round at The 2005 Open Championship at Royal St. George's. Sir Nick must have big hands as it has a midsize half cord grip with what feels like a couple extra tape wraps underneath.

He was apparently testing a few different shaft/head combos and this one didn't make the bag.
