Does anyone know where I could pick up some weights?! Wouldn’t mind messing around with it a bit

 

Weight kits were never mass produced, so they are hard to come by. I know there was some talk of them when Nike was still producing clubs, but they are pretty much impossible to find now. I’ve kicked around the idea of trying to have a machine shop produce some out of metal, but they are so small that they’d have to be tungsten, copper, etc to have any significant weight to them.

Nike experts, I have reached out to Dallas golf but haven’t heard back, the origin I ordered has grayish weights in the bottom where the stock origin from release had black, can anyone comment on this? I’ll have to weigh the putter but hopefully I got a legit product

 

You don’t have to worry about that not being a legit product. They bought those direct from Nike. Any chance you could get those weights out and weigh them? (You should be able to just twist them out with your fingertip) The black weights weigh 1g each.

 

There were four different weights; 1g, 3g, 5g, and 7 grams and three materials: aluminum, steel, tungsten. The 5g weight was a ported 7g weight, see pic below. There was a wrench and weight kit available but you had to have a connection at The Oven to have one sent to you.

 

I'm guessing here, the "grayish" weights may have been machined as an aftermarket production. A simple project for most machine shops now days. Based on the number of heads that Dallas Golf purchased when Nike Golf closed up shop, there probably wasn't enough weights for every head. The black anodized version was the only one I saw at The Oven.

I've got both in a 58, generally the Dual Sole comes out when I'm expecting a lot bare lies, so when it's baked in summer or if I'm playing links golf. However I find it tends to dig too much on full swings if fairways are lush or if the ground is soft, so for 9 months of the year I use the Toe Sweep.

 

Both awesome Wedges, I'm dreading when I wear my Engages out. The 54 Square Sole in particular is an absolute weapon.

I went from a DS Nike to a Vokey 60 S Grind (10 deg bounce) and it plays the same IMO.

I'd say something that has low bounce with heel and toe relief would play the most similar. Nike did a great job of having heel and toe relief in medium/high bounce options. Vokey M grind or Taylormade MG Low Bounce are the first 2 that come to mind.

What wedge would compare most to Toe Sweep?? I believe Engage TS models have 9* bounce. It shouldn't be an issue anytime soon since I have two good sets of 54s and 58s on standby. Just trying to think ahead. I'll rue the day when my last Engage is worn out!!

Can anyone tell me how the sole of the vapor fly 4 iron compares to the fly pro? Thinking of buying one to swap out in my set up but want something to give me a little more confidence. I can see in photos that it looks a tiny bit longer heal to toe and the top line is thicker but I can't really tell the sole.

I use my Nike clubs in a 10 club carry set. 56, a,p,9,8,6,4,5w, mini driver. Irons are vfp. 5w is vapor fly

Can't decide between a more forgiving 4 iron. Or a hybrid
