Is there a RZN equivalent to the Platinums? I'm running low on what I have left and I've actually moved over to the Vice Pro Plus to hold on to my stock a little longer.

Once around the ferrule with acetone and you'll have perfection. Well done on the satin look!

Go for it! They are your clubs so get them just right for your preferences. Matte or gloss ferrule, you have an awesome set of NIKE irons!

Two questions for the swoosh fanatics:

What’s the most you all would pay for a set of the original forged blades in good/excellent condition? Talking about the set that just has the black swoosh. I’ve given up on trying to bid on new sets, people are asking like $1800. If I already have the Tiger version of the VR blades, do I need the VR Pro combo set? To me it looks like I could accomplish the same vibe by just picking up the 3 through 5 from the combo set individually, otherwise I’d have a bunch of duplicates. Unless there’s something I’m missing? I’m talking about these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203045254675Theyre really sharp looking clubs so I might just snag them regardless, but in terms of how they play is there any difference between these and the TWs?

oldblue.jpegOnly ever had the bag. Not one club.

Almost got rid of it last year, but something made me keep it...

So Old Blue is still with me.

First I had to come to terms at taking this on. The clubs were in very nice original condition so committed to the process was key.

first I did a pass with 60 grit. On the backs- from hosel to toe in as straight a line as possible. One way very firm to score the chrome. Small strip to wrap the hosel and around in a circle. Directionally from top of toe down to sole on face and a small piece at the neck, again from top to sole.

a second pass with 60 grit focusing on straight even medium pressure strokes to even out the finish(all directionally as outlined above)

next a firm pass with 150 grit(all directionally as outlined above)

and a second medium pressure pass with 150 grit(all directionally as outlined above)

last step hasn’t been done and that is a final pass with 320 to even out all of the lines and give it a uniform satin finish( haven’t done this yet as I am enjoying them as is for now)

The real key is a commitment to the process. Don’t rush, no back and forth sanding and time/patience.

thanks for the compliments as I think they turned out great!

Was randomly searching for Nike clubs on eBay.  These things are not dropping in price at all.  Was going to get a random vapor pro driver head for fun thinking it’d be cheap fun but nope!  More expensive than a lot of 2 year old drivers

Try looking for ladies flex stuff. They made a lot of it and the heads are the same.

The Nike stuff is not rocketing to 'collector pricing' like some thought, but the demand for it is keeping it steady at the same price. Definitely not dropping to something crazy like $50 a club like old models from other companies.

Been gaming these irons since 2007. Trying to decide on the next set. Hoping to get a chance to demo the P7TW’s at my club’s next TM demo day, as I have to imagine the feel is very similar to the original blades I’m playing with.

Also considering buying a single VR Pro iron off EBay to see how I like the feel of those.

So I’m dumb and posted this in the Nike Blades topic from long ago but thought I’d get a better answer to this here. I’m really curious. I was just looking at the malt by playability factor rankings from Nike (was thinking of trying to go Koepka and get a vapor fly, not pro 3 iron) and noticed that the VR TW blades were almost in the game improvement category for playability. Are they really that easy to hit as blades?  I just thought that was interesting.

They really are. Not to turn this into a blade vs cavity / GI thread, but blades are really not that hard to hit...
