Here is the 'brother' to my SCM5 'Scottymaster' - the Japan release Tour Prototype Scottydale. Basically a Long Neck Newport with the attractive Nickel / Black Star finish. This beauty still has the grip in plastic with the care instructions in Japanese. It is a very cool looking stick with 'Scottydale' on the neck and X-SLC on the sole. The SLC stands for Summer Lynne Cameron named after his first daughter. Manufactured in 1996 with a limited run of 3000, it has stunning milling.

Rob

Is this even legal? Looks like the Tiger long neck

Quite right Robb, this is the more desirable 'Long Cup' model. It measures almost 6" from middle of sole to the top of the hosel cup. For those that are interested, this is similar to the putter Tiger won the 1996 Vegas with and there was a huge demand in the Japanese market. There was some controversy APPARENTLY about Tiger's putter not conforming at the time and a limited number like this one also had the controversial specs. I highlight 'apparently' because I have never been able to confirm the validity of any of this and I would not put it past any manufacturer to stir up a little news to help sales along. Regardless mate, it is a gorgeous putter, back from when Camerons were still making gorgeous putters - and my poor photography skills really don't do the milling justice. :-)

Thanks Richard, I agree wholeheartedly. The 90's was the pinnacle of his stuff for me in both quality and design. Granted I am old fart, but I just can't come at all the bling, silly stamps and cartoonish covers these days.

Take care my friend. :-)

The only thing worse than posting a putter after Raider is following friggin Rob??

I initially saw this putter in a guy's hands over at Oakmont and while I was well aware of Tad, having 3 of his flat sticks, including one other heel shafted blade, the TM-6, a carbon/black oxide example, however when I saw this model, I had to give it a roll. I'm not a real fan of insert putters, and actually Tad's were the first that I'd tried, liked and bagged, with Kevin Burns also making a few that I really liked and bagged.

So I traded the guy head-up for an Odyssey ProType PT 82 LE(No, this was reallllllly from the LE run, #46/82 of the the initial 164 Putter run(82 lefty/82 righty) and in my eyes, only legit LE Putter. The 2500 Putter LE release??? GTFOH???)

Also, I just received this Law Enforcement "Blue Line" cover as a BD present from the parents of one of my two BFF's, Paul Sciullo, who, along with two of his Law Enforcement Brothers, was senselessly slaughtered on 04/09/09. Paullie, an accomplished Player(5 time Club Champion, beat Nathan twice in the WPa IC MP Championship and three times fell short at Q-School, going +3 over the last two holes to miss by one stroke in his second attempt), is THE only reason that I didn't walk away from the game in 2008.

The cover is from Rose and Fire and is exceptional quality, from the design, to the leather and finishing with the construction. It's plush and unlike most covers, regardless of the quality, holds a heel shafted blade tightly, with no pistoning or looseness. It's no wonder that Paullie was such an exceptional person and Gentleman as his Parents are really really special.

Anyhoo, have a great day Gals & Gents?

Come on mate, as if I would show off!!

Oh, - want to see 5 'Mint' Classic1's balanced on a glass table? ha ha

(Bottom 2 are very rare - one has the face ground smooth like a Classic 6 at the request of a pro and the other is a 1 of 20 with a sight line)

That was a touching personal story to share Richard and I thank you for it.

The inserts in those Tad Moore putters are almost 100% pure Copper, about as close as you can get and how good is the milling?!

Always good to hear from you and see those lovely blades. :-)

Beautiful tribute and gift Richard. I will never forget that day...it was truly tragic. They were real "heroes!"

My new Lajosi, first full custom build. Solid copper, torched pre patina finish.

Kari never puts a foot wrong.

This is just a classy, elegant putter that you can use for the rest of your days. One of the best posted - congratulations. :-)

Wow! Thanks Rob! That means a lot coming from a guy with a collection like yours!

Recently had a Scotty Cameron Teryllium Neport refinished by Geo (formerly Palombi Putters). Couldn't be more thrilled with the results. He did a fantastic job. Below are the before and after pics. He went ahead and finished the sight line that someone had previously tried to add. Don't have a picture of the grip but it is an original Crown Pebble Grip.

BUMP - c'mon you boys, what have you got???

Rob

Anyone? Anyone? (said in the voice of Ferris Bueller's teacher).

Rob

Well, seeing as you are so insistent Rob.

I just picked this up today to add to my 8802 style collection. My first Napa, I believe it is a 1995 model. A little corrosion showing through, but maybe that just adds to the character. I've been after one of these for a while now. Every time I've come across a "possible" it's turned out to be fake. Although they were mainly later models.

I reckon she is drop-dead sexy anyway.

Beautiful putter Baz in great original condition! :-)

Rob

Cheers Rob. Appreciated. And as I mention in the other thread, I've taken an oily rag to it and buffed her up. Most of the rusty spots are gone. Just need to keep the silicon up to her and she's looking really nice and shiny, dark and yet moody.

Looks like a new avatar pic is in order baz.
