I am in love with the cobra fly z pros. imo the best feeling blade out there, and the second best looking, the only thing that looks better is the vapor blade, but the vap's just don't cut it in the feel category

Your comment is giving my wallet a huge ache! I am currently weighing those two against each. I only hit the VPs off mats a few times three mos. ago with an injury (only had 60%swing to use), but they flew well. I just can't gauge my decent sensation of ball feel off mats!

And, the Fly-Z Ps aren't out yet! I'd be coming from my two current sets of MP-69s and Callaway Razr MBs, which both have great feel, using Recoil F4 and PX 5.0F.

My ache is in regards to the shaft options on Cobras - high up charges to get into the Recoils, probable only one I would like there, maybe CTL, but also up charges way more compared to Nike who has Modus 120 at little xtra$.

There's a lot a guys on these forums who can tell quickly the difference in feel/sound between say a current Mizuno and a Titleist MB. Is that something tangible here between Fly-Z Pro & Vapor Pros?

I think it is. The nikes feel crisp and a hair clicky to me, those cobras are soft and solid. My theory behind this is that the cobras have a pretty good amount of mass behind the ball. That and the cobras are five stepped forged (to make them more precise) but what five step forging does too is allows the iron a chance to cool on its own, instead of being dipped in water, like the nikes are once theyre forged. When something is dipped in water it gets harder, this is why drill bits are cooled immediately in water. Don't get me wrong the nike irons aren't bad, they just lack the feel to be considered great, where as the cobras have that softer feel that earn it the right to be called great. also the cobras are available for order, cobra now has them in stock and are ready to ship. The reason they were postponed to april was because of the long beach harbor strike, not sure if the strike is over, but cobra found a way to get their irons.

There really is no "best" but you guys already know that. Everyone is just going to post what they are using as the best. I am no different.

TM TP from 2014, that are technically still current so 2015. Very under appreciated around here IMO. I'm not going to say that these displaced my X-Protos which I've been using since 2009, but these are really nice. Love the shape and rounder, shorter toe, and also the simple MP-14-esque design. Not to mention the quality of the satin is very impressive.

My other favorite would be the Vapor Pros. The look at address, topline, and general fit and finish is outstanding. I do like the modern take on the design, but can't help but to think they are still semi-cavity backs, sort of like the channel back design of the X-Protos. Regardless, the Vapors are sweet, and the only reason I got the TMs is because they were cheaper.

The AP2s are Cavity Back right?
[/quote]Yes, in the broad sense, however I've also heard them classified as a MCB, ala the Mizzy 64's, and as a "Pocket" CB, similar to the Mizzy 54's and many of the other Pocket CB's, though there is no actual milled out space behind the face.

I've always been curious what OEM came up with the classification, "MCB," lol.

Probably Titleist or Cally, lol.

Have a great season Hackster :)
