Good lord this club is legit!

My 9* LS with tour 65 has outperformed everything I have tried over the past decade. Accurate, forgiving all over the face and long as any I have hit. My only nit pick was I had trouble hitting the center of the face. I added some weight to the head and It was much better

On a whim, I picked up a tour 80 shaft and removed the extra weight from the head. Played with it today and it delivered center strike after center strike. Picked up an additional 5 yards along with a consistent draw. The tour 65 gave me a two way miss which I didn't like for obvious reasons.

Only missed one fairway today by a few feet without consequence.

Longest and straightest I've ever been and really happy about it!

I"m interested in how much better this is than the G25. I just bought a g25 9.5 on ebay for $160, as I want a little more forgiveness than my I 15. Was going to buy the G 30 LS with tour 65, but the tight a** in me, said it wasn't $250 better than this G25. I just played 9 here in MN at 35 degrees, and hit the G25 awesome. My swing is not nearly in mid season form, and the cold kills distance, but I was very happy with this new to me driver.

G25 is awesome. G30 LS is only better if you need to lower your spin

Has anyone put this side by side with the i25? same loft and shaft
Haven't hit them side by side, but the performance for me was very similar (no launch monitor, just the eyeball test). I was going after the G30 a little bit and hitting this nice little 5 yard fade. That club just wants to go straight. Both it and the I25 are great clubs, but I cannot justify the $$ for the upgrade right now.

I am struggling to pick a shaft because I don't have launch monitors anywhere near me, so I picked up the head and now trying to decide whether to go with the 65 Tour or 80 Tour shaft. Were you able to turn it over with the 65 Tour shaft once you took the head weight out of it? My miss is Right, which is why I'm asking.

I was able to find a BiMatrix shaft (the Bubba Pink/Chrome shaft) so I will hit it too just to see how it compares. My driver SS is right at 101 ~ 103...so thinking the 65 Tour may be where I start.

Had my first round with my G30 LS Tec today and couldn't be happier.

I have the hereditary "gift" of being susceptible to gout flair-ups in my left foot, especially in the joint below my little toe...in other words, it effects the side of the foot that takes a lot of weight at the finish of my golf swing. For those who don't know about gout, it is a type of arthritis that can flair-up in one of your joints and it feels like a million little microscopic demons are stabbing you with a hot pitchfork. I could hardly walk on Thursday but managed to find some great home remedy advice online that actually had reduced it from excruciating pain to just tender/sore today. The end result was that I could make a swing, but I couldn't really extend and finish my golf swing because I couldn't finish with weight on the outside edge of my left foot or clear my left hip. I had a few toe hooks that I just physically couldn't help because I was standing up a bit in an effort to keep from stressing my front foot, but I actually had many not-so-well struck drives that stayed in play...some of which had a nice draw into the middle of the fairway and still got out into the 280s despite not being able to really transfer all of my momentum into the ball. This driver and my 60* Vokey saved my butt today.

I can't wait to get a G30 tip on my Kiyoshi Purple and put it up against the AD DI-6x I used today. This driver is just fun to game and got me a lot further out in the fairway than I physically should've been able to go today.

Very very very close. Looks, sound, and feel all favor the i25. Performance, for me, was a wash.

I spent a few hours comparing my i25 w/ ahina to the G30 lst with that tour 65 stock on the launch monitor. The numbers may as well have been interchangeable. Very low spin (I was averaging about 112mph with the big dog that day).

My i25 remains king. So much confidence! But if I had to buy a driver tomorrow it'd be G30 lst.

G30 LS is the best driver I've ever hit, and there's not a close second. Before it I had completely removed the driver from the bag and gone to the 2deep.

I actually did have trouble turning over this club with the tour 65. I tend to have trouble with lighter shafts though.

I do think the Ping G series drivers are harder to turn over than many other drivers. The head is just so big.

I recently went through a fitting and tried all of this years offerings from all the OEMs my fitter had.
I had the same problem with turning the G30 over. Not sure what it was but I just had difficulty with it (size of the head maybe?). The G30LS Tec did much better for me. During my fitting it actually produced the longest shots on Trackman. Unfortunately, I could not get comfortable with it and it was one of the worst for me in regards to accuracy. Overall, I think it is a great driver and definitely can be a canon in the right persons hands.

i25 still a beast. Comparable numbers, better feel and sound with i25. This is based on indoors. Wouldn't be worth the replacement for me.

Is the LS any quieter than the plain G30?
IMO, just a touch softer sounding, but not a considerable amount. In other words, you would only notice when hitting them side by side.
I agree.... I have them both and at first I couldn't tell the difference, but now after about 4 range sessions and hitting them back to back, I can tell there is a minor difference. Very little though.

The g30 lst is one of the loudest drivers I have every played. I like the sound but even when hit out of the center playing a hard goofball it can make your ears ring. If you hit of the toe it can be extremely loud. it is somthing I can live with thow considering I hit it so well. It is a great/best driver I have ever owned. It is also very forgiving on off center hits.

Hitting mine for the first time tomorrow. Have three shafts ready to go with it.
What shafts do you have to try? Let use know the results. I'm debating ordering one with a rogue black 70s.
The vastly underrated Matrix 7321, real deal xcon6, the new D+ in whiteboard type profile tipped 1/4" and the Tour 65. The D+ came up trumps, was surprised how good it is. Xcon6 was also excellent, 7321 good and the Tour 65 ok but not as robust. Tipped it would be quite good i reckon. I'll slip the tip off the 7321 and throw something else in just to make sure i'm not missing too much. Kiyoshi Black, Devotion 75, 6M3, HD7 and a couple of others are on the table.

The i25 and Anser for me did not sit open enough Rapture V2 as well for that matter. The G25/30/LS have always looked beautifully open and now i have that open look in a low spin package. For me personally that puts the G30LS above the i25.

I still can't find anything to beat my i25. I even love my G25 and while the carry may be 10-15 yards difference between the two, the trajectory is not.

G25 in wet conditions, i25 in everything else.

I have a link in another thread with me swinging my i25. I just love that club!

Have you tried the LS? It VERY definately chews into the difference between a G25 and I25.

Why would I spend $500 on a drive thats going to be minimally different from what I already own?
