What's your wedge loft combo?

I'm currently 47/54/58

 

I'm thinking of putting a 60 in for high pitch shots, and 56 for medium to long pitch shots. No gap, as I'm better with partial pw shots. So, pw/56/60.

 

How does this sound?

I probably don't need this many. My next set i'm going to try to get irons with tighter lofts and a 47 degree PW, and then go 52-60

46/50/54/58. If you can't do everything with a 58* with a good grind, you better practice.

I can't do a 60* or higher. They just don't look appealing to me. I can open my 56 wide open if I need to hit a flop shot.

But I think 48 54 60 is perfect. This is what Adam Scott does, it's just not an option for me.

My iron lofts are very traditional so it works well for me and I haven't used a 60 in years. I didn't have trouble with a 60 it was purely a gapping issue and I haven't revisited the issue once it was resolved in my mind.

I don't mind not having the 52 though really. I don't think I do any better with it than a partial pw on longer shots, but I do like 52 sometimes for a running pitch to a back flag, longer bunker shot or something similar. I guess that's why I leave it in.

I was playing 4 wedges and it is much easier managing 3 wedges with 1/2 and 3/4 shots...

That's mine as well. As it turns out I've been using all of them (the natural outcome of missing a bunch of greens), but the one I use most often has been the 56, the least used as been the 45.

On paper there should be a pw-gw gap but on the course there isn't.

Been back and forth on 45/52/58, tried 45/50/56 but never seem to get any bite on the greens so going to try 45/54/60. Might try finding a 48 to match my 54 and 60 if it works and pull out the PW

46*, 54*, 60*. Too many wedges can complicate the short game. Plus I love hitting half wedges.

47/56/60 I can get away with that 9 degree gap because I am pretty crafty with chokedown/knockdown/cut or draw pitching wedge shots.

But, our course pro uses 6 wedges because he says he plays many more shots under 150 yds. He's trying to get me to go to a 46 PW and get a 50 degree. Here's his setup (which made me chuckle until I played with him and saw a him shoot a 62 (-10))

Driver 9.5, 3 wood 15, 2 iron 18, 4 iron 24, 6 iron 30, 7 iron 34, 8 iron 38, 9 iron 42, PW 47, AW 52, SW 56, LW1 60, LW2 64, and Putter.
Looking at his set I asked how far do you hit your driver? His response was, "As far as I need to."
What blows my mind wasn't the 365 yard drive on #5 (measured with laser), it was the imagination he had shooting for every pin. He manipulates wedges with the loft on the club. They are all basically full grind clubs except the 60-M and 64-T. His clubs are free from Titleist (He's sponsored).
