Her stroke on Saturday was much smoother than usual, but on Sunday it appeared to go back to the same 'ol.

Yup I noticed that too.

Just like I can have 30 putts one day...then 38 putts 3 days later....I'm a hack....the Golf Gods like the latter for me.

Watched the replay and Mirim at 17 shows the teeth this course has if you miss shots. MNM and I were at 18 and we were told that Mirim Lee was 20 under and when Cristie three putted 18 a playoff loomed. MNM was going to see that playoff he predicted. Mirim walks by us at 18 and the Standard Bearer showed -18. Wtf. MNM was crushed.

BraveDave and I met up at the 1st tee and chatted for a bit (He said he was expecting some old guy, lol). He followed Lexi, Paula, and Lydia after they teed off while I stayed behind to watch the other groups tee off.

Our paths didn't cross until much later in the round. Dave was following Cristie and I was stationed at the double-green on 12/15. We chatted again when Cristie reached the 12th hole and watched the next few groups come through.

We split up after that and I went to the 18th hoping to get a seat in the bleachers, but they were full so I ended up along the ropes on the 18th fairway halfway between the green and where the tee shots were landing. Dave caught up a little later and we watched the last few groups come in.

As for beers... I had one fairly early and I saw Dave with a Bud Light in his hands some time later.

That old guy is likely a long time LPGA volunteer....a really nice and LPGA knowledgeable gentleman....I know nothing about the LPGA compared to this man.

All the veteran LPGA gals and caddies know this man. I first met him in 2010 at the Safeway. We stayed at the same hotel and I just bumped into him and started to chat.

He does a lot of behind the scenes volunteer roles like managing the walking scorer devices, scoring tent, etc.
The gentleman is PURE CLASS.

In some way...I sometimes chat more than watching golf at events....lol
I've chatted with vols. club members, people who have housed the pros, security people, family members and caddies....there are some many interesting and nice people to chat with.

This is where I've pick up some really interesting info on the pros.
e.g.) found out Stanford and some other pros were trash talking Ryann O'Toole behind her back because they thought she was not a worthy captain's pick for the 2011 Solheim Cup.
IMO....this is one of the reason the US have lost the last two SC's....... too much cattiness among the diva's.....the ribbons and face paint does not help neither.....lol.

I generally wander the course to pick up on different groups....I rarely watch a specific pro or group for more than 3 or 4 holes....there are too many interesting pros to watch......rookies, veterans, etc.....although much focus is on some new faces as they might only be on tour one year.

Well, she's got that going for her. Which is nice.

 

Bah. There was nothing wrong with the "stinger". A little tweeking to the strategy, maybe. She was leading the tour in GIR's for the first half of last season.
