Shot a terrible 6 over on 9.... 7 bogeys, 1 birdie, 1 par!! Needless to say I didn't finish the back! The good news.... I didn't miss a fairway, but that tells you how bad my ball striking, short game and putting was!! These are the days I loathe my choice of my Mp 25s!!! I immediately went to demo the apex cf16!!! I think I may try to find some old Adams cb2s for when I'm not swinging well?

Breaking: my golf game is improving.

It's actually starting to happen. I don't shoot nearly as well as most of you folks on here but my scores are finally starting to come down a bit and my consistency is improving. I caught the golf bug this year and have been trying to play nearly every chance I get (in the past, I've been more of a beer drinking golfer rather than trying to shoot a legitimate score. Now I just multi-task the two). Earlier in the year, my scores were in the 105-120 range (bad, bad golf). I broke 100 for the first time ever probably a month ago. I've been shooting in the mid to upper 90's pretty consistently lately and just shot my two PB rounds this weekend. I shot back to back 90's at the Waynesville CC (Waynesville NC) and at Reems Creek (Weaverville NC). Nothing impressive (for yall) but I'll take it. Like I said, my game is slowly improving and I'm hell bent on breaking 90 by the end of the year.. we'll see.

Played yesterday pretty awesome to be golfing in Boston in December . My course which usually closes the end of November extended it for 2 more weeks this season. Because of the awesome weather we have been having

played well hit the ball great . Made 5 bogeys 1 birdie 1 eagle for a 2 over. 72

My eagle was high late of the day hit a 3 wood from 239 to about six feet and rolled it in . Funny thing is I only halved the hole as one of opponents made birdie net eagle to cut me lol

went 83 today at a very difficult CC, that is still open here in Illinois. 50's this weekend and playing in December is awesome. Great shape, and pretty wide open. as a 3some we played 18 in around 2:45, I was very,very happy with my play, hadn't touched a club in 3 weeks-thought I was done, and I probably gave away 4 shots or so, having a decent shot to shoot or break 80 on that course in December was nice. Heck 80 in mid-season would make me happy..

Statistically, yesterday was one of the more "complete" rounds I've put together in recent memory on a tough course to boot. I was putting with my backup putter which is a conventional (I use armlock normally) and never got the ball rolling consistently. Who knows what would have happened if the putter decided to show up. Shot an 81 at Escena in Palm Spring. Course and slope rating of 72.1/127. Beautiful weather today - 75 degrees and sunny. Personal best on this course is 78 so today was a good day given that I didn't have the putter working. No 3 putts but my longest putt made was 4 feet.

Excellent ... I'm departing on Dec 28th for 3 months, staying at the Desert Princess, however, plan on buying the Escena seasonal membership this year, really enjoyed that track for the price, just wish they had a decent range vs the cage/nets. I imagine it's in great shape & was the wind a factor ?

Didn't hit a drive, had, at least, one chunk or bladed ball on every hole but the first 2 and hurt my back. Yuck!!

High today was 38, it was a bit windy and I played through a light rain on the last 3 holes.

I have not putted well this year. I've averaged 38 putts a round. I've had a new putter for 5 rounds and have averaged 33 putts with it. Also, today I had 0 3 putts. So, putting was the only bright spot, other than I'm in Northern Michigan and still playing golf in December.

Played Sunday...hit 15 greens from the winter tees (South Central PA), 74, only 2 birdies. Probably the most frustrating round I've had in awhile. I think I ended up with 32 putts or something.

Shot a personal best today, 75, on a 69.7/129, 6114 yard course. Just joined a country club and have shot 84, 79, and 75 in the last week. Previous best was a 76 on a different, easier course. Birdied 18 to close as well after going bogey, double bogey on 16 and 17. I was trying to throw away a good round.

Drove poorly, hit a few irons. Putting has continued to be excellent since I got the new putter. Although it was raining a bit when I started, it turned into a very nice day -- 50's in Northern Michigan in December!

Went into yesterday hoping to play really well, but walked out with an 84. I just wasn't setting myself up well off the tee, and had a few unfortunate breaks when I did. Drove the green on #9 only to catch a bad bounce and leave me with a chip from a downhill lie into a downward sloping green. Hit the pin and was rewarded with a ball that rolled across the green and onto the fringe. Two-putted to take a potential eagle to a par. On #15 I smashed a drive down what I thought was the center of the fairway, but with the wind at about 15mph, it was blown offline into a fairway bunker. Played out and hammered a 3W the exact distance I wanted and was again rewarded with a bunker due to a funky bounce. Never three putted, but I never put myself in a place to do anything spectacular. 10 pars, 4 doubles, and a few bogeys will ruin a round.

Wedges were good though!

Very cold and windy today. High 43 winds gusting to 30. Probably my last round up north this year as I can't play for another week.

It's been great being able to play this far into the year, although my handicap has gone up since the cold has set in.

I can't say enough about my new putter. It's an Odyssey mallet. It's ugly, doesn't feel good in my hands, and my posture is not comfortable with it. However, distance control is amazing and my putting has improved from an average of 38 this summer to 32 in the 8 rounds I've had the new putter.

probably the last day of the year for us yesterday, got in 27, shot 77-39, but was not overly joyed, regardless of being below my cap.

I one putted 3 of the first 5 holes and was 2 down through 5, then got that crappy mentality of "don't make a big mistake", and just made too many bogeys.

The 39 on the last 9 opened with a double, so it was a solid 9.

Time to get the garage net set up, and spend some hours with the Big Moss....

Shot 40+41 for 81 today on a par-72, 6244 yd course in Florida. 8/14 fwys, 6/18 gir. Had 2 triple bogies, 6 bogies, 3 birdies and 7 pars. 29 putts with 8x 1-putts. Finished par, par, birdie, birdie, par. Number 16 hit 5 iron 167 yds to 1 foot, straight at the stick. Yesterday I shot 83. My lessons are starting to pay off!

Remember, I am a 14hc with a shank problem for months. Very happy today!

Played my first 18 holes in over 2 months yesterday. My ball striking was pretty good as I've been keeping up with trips to the range however my short game was quite poor to say the least. I actually ended up firing a +3 (75) which I was quite happy with. Looking forward to playing more again now that I've got more free time.

[spoiler]It's been a rough few months since I last posted. First, I lost any ability to drive - a lot of grounders and pop ups. Then I started hitting grounders with the woods. The worst was when I started to slice irons. I could not hit many greens with approach shots, which was devastating because it's the funnest part of golf to me. The only highlight was that I started putting on the carpet everyday, and I hit my lowest putts in a round, which is an awful 34. I now drive with my 5 wood and lineup to compensate for hooks. It hasn't been too bad.[/spoiler]

Good day today for me. I shot a best 98. For a while there it looked like I was going to shoot double 47s for a 94, but I messed up the last 3 holes. At one point I had 8 bogeys in a row and 11 out of 12. My putting on the back 9 was very disappointing. oh well. I hope to improve my short game and become a better putter next year and finally break in to the 80s.
