Thank you for starting this topic, very interesting. Just ordered a set of the leather headcovers, nothing fancy, the black leather classics with red accents. Was not aware that I needed some new ones but too cool to pass by. Will see how I like them and start looking at a few belts. Appreciate the info and pictures from everyone, great gear.

I ordered a new set of headcovers this week - a little mix of leather and lizard. I had a design in mind and in talking to Patrick, it morphed into something completely different. Looking forward to the outcome.

Golfing with him in the morning tomorrow and while we are friends I have purchased everything at normal pricing or using his promo code deals. The quality/craftsmanship is so good it is worth every $. Even better is getting to know the story behind the work, I cannot recommend his stuff enough. Now to think up a bet for tomorrows round lol

 

Wow! Those black lizard/kangaroo shoes are possibly the best looking/quality shoes I've ever seen. Awesome.

They are beautiful, got to say, however, the stitching detail would come secondary to how I would finance a $439 belt!!

From what I've seen, the Navy is a very dark blue - like blue/black. The Blue Jean isn't as dark.

If you see my pic in the 2nd post of this thread, the bottom belt of mine is navy. As Blav mentioned above, it's fairly dark. I think it's faded back very slightly as I've worn it a lot on the course, when I first opened the box I thought it was black.

How well do the belts wear? Say if I were to make it my daily belt as well as my golf belt. I couldn't spend that much and not wear it for more than just golf.

Just get a skin that will wear well. Lizard is a good one to start with, I know a lot of guys wear shark skin everyday. Those skins are more durable than say, a snake skin.

I wear a brown croc daily to work. Still looks perfect. Some skins are more durable than others - for example - the stingray I find to be a little less durable as the scales (?) seem to catch on the belt loops and pop off. Also, belts which are stitched together, like patchworks, have to be cared for a little more as well. Also, some skins are thicker than others just by nature. Croc is thicker than lizard and is seemingly more long-lasting. Lastly, darker colors wear better than lighter colors.

Here's my black lizard belt that I'm wearing today. Been my primary daily work belt for nearly 2 years. The belt itself is holding up incredibly well, zero issues. The only "problem" as you can see is the paint on the edges which is cracking. Nothing you can do about that, unless you leave the edges the same as the belt.

 

Long term I'd avoid the fish and snake belts as those scales tend to "open up" a little bit and get caught on things in my experience.

Lizard makes a great everyday work belt. I wear my black and grey belts almost daily with no issues over the last couple years. The one I've seen wear is the croc with the spines because they sick out a bit the back of the belt will wear from rubbing up against the seat back.
