They mentioned earlier on NBC (American coverage) that Danny Willett has/had designs on making it over to the PGA TOUR full-time. Solo 3rd money in this week's WGC event would allow him to take advantage of a Special Temporary Membership.

It's not so much his putting but his pitching and bunker play which are absolutely top quality. Even though he still misses quite a few putts, he makes a lot of important ones. Which is the most important thing.

I really don't like this event, I place as much prestige as winning the chevron world challenge. The format is terrible, Rory faced furyk as his highest rated opponent.

I don't really get the dislike for the format, there's obviously some things they could tweak but in years past you could've had Rory, Spieth, Tiger, Phil etc all out of the event by Friday too. I mean it was single elimination so it's not like it was LESS random

There's other things they could do that i would totally be fine with....like still keeping the groups stages, but giving the top 4 seeds in the tournament a bye into the sweet 16...And then having 12 groups of 5

It would guarantee top players on the weekend and also reward guys for playing well prior to the event. Also would make it tough for a top 4 player to say no as their path to winning is much easier

For the life of me I can't figure out how a guy with one win in the last 5 years can be ranked 5th. His play in the last two rounds is pretty typical of his final round play the last few years, last week excepted.
