Glencoe today at 4:12, hopefully I can finish. Was gonna give Wilmette a try but they have 4 somes going out all afternoon so doubtful I would finish starting at 4.

Got a new driver yesterday....went with the Ping G30 and went from stiff to regular flex after realizing my driver swing speed has gone from mid to high 90s to mid 80s in the past couple years. No reason I should be using a stiff shaft.

Played Stonewall Orchard this past Saturday for the first time. Bit of a hike from the city, but really nice. Only complaint is it seems like no one who plays there knows how to fix a ball mark.

How could I forget the Mosquitos? The worst I've ever experienced. I was the only one with OFF in my bag.

great after work round at Glencoe. Got randomly paired up with a really nice older gent who just happened to be a former client of my father's. We had a really good time. Helped that we flew out there. Ran into one foursome...skipped #11 to get around them and then went back to #11 after #17 which was a seamless transition. Had trouble finding the center of the clubface with the new driver on the front nine and then made an adjustment on the back, stood further away from the ball and started hitting it really well. Hit all 7 fairways on the back and 11/13 on the day with the driver. Focus wasn't there the rest of the round and had a card of pars and mostly bogeys till I chipped in for birdie on 18 to give me an 83.

Course was in very nice shape, greens rolled nice and I'd rate them as medium speed. Finished in 3 hours. Special thanks go out to the golf gods for balancing the ledger a bit after my last few death march rounds.

Golf league playoffs tomorrow night. Our goal is to win the low gross and then whatever happens with the net happens.
