785s are a decent iron but I’m going to pass on them. I have some friends that absolutely love theirs. A little too rounded for my liking. I have a new set of 745s coming and I’m going to play with those for a while. They are x100. I’m used to mine being soft stepped so I will see how these play out. Just love the sharper lines of the 745s. Hard exiting out of the VR PROs and still have some life left on them but I can’t deny the extra forgiveness I would be getting in the 745s.

So here it is. The new forgings from Artisan. They are still very limited in production at the moment until they get a large shipment in. Mike has been extensively looking for the right forgings. Last I heard is wait list is over 1000. But here is a look. I will go more into a review of them when I have time. Had this since April but been waiting for them to show on IG and now they are so here is a look at the new design. All the stamps are tribute to the guys at Artisan. And since it’s the first one produced... Hello World :)

Love their wedges. Was looking at a putter and some wedges but man 1000 person wait list is a tough one to get in the back of. Just shows how much respect they have earned and the quality of their stuff.

It’s been a while... stopped tinkering to focus on my game and my sons game. Lately all the equipment has been for him... but new bag coming soon!

How have your wedges held up? After 2 years on the waiting most I finally was able to do my wedge and putter fitting last week and can not speak highly enough of the guys over there. Orders in and now the wait for my new tools begins.

They have been excellent. I got ended up with another 59, but with TWs grind a little lower bounce and smaller sole width. So I rotate the 55 and 59 sets. I get them reblasted every few months and keep them fresh. I just placed an order for my son as well. 54/58 combo for him. Even with him who beats balls all day his wedges spin so much like day one He’s has his over a year with only one time reblasting... they spin so much still

Played with a friend today who is a fitter at Callaway. I have 3 drivers on my list:

Mavrik (standard model)

TS3/TS2

Cobra Xtreme

I've cycled through the SIM MAX 9* head with Kuro Kage XT TX. Probably one of my favorite drivers so far this year but found it to spin a little too much for what I want. I am getting older and not hitting it as far as I used to so hitting fairways is a must for me. When I was faster and longer I felt I could still score because I had shorter irons in, but now I am hitting more 5-7 irons into greens I can't afford being in the rough. So I am focusing on drivers that are more forgiving. Would like to keep my spin rates sub 2500 in this search though. The Epic Flash SZ has been great for me, but I would like a little more forgiveness without giving up too much distance. I was happy with what I saw in the Mavrik today. I played it at 9* N setting and didn't swing the driver well but managed to keep nearly everything in the fairway. A lot more forgiving than the Epic, sound is way better and doesn't go left. Mavrik wins....for now
