That would be marked departure for Ping, who usually prefers to use some variation of their shaft - like, CFS, ZZ lite, KT-m, etc.

MacGregor did something like that a long time ago. The old T-Zoid cut the face to put more mass behind dead center too. And, of course, TaylorMade had their "cone" on irons for years.

Still, it'll be interesting to see what Ping's up to - they innovate!

This list seems unlikely (putting aside Ping going away from its proprietary shafts), mostly because it's hard to believe KBS Tour wouldn't be on or at the top of the list. Not only is it a shaft ping has actually made stock in recent clubs (s56 and some wedges) and it's one of pings current cheaper/volume upgrade options, but Ping seems into the whole high balance point shaft thing.

Any more detail than this, specifically around the Modus line? 120/125/130? 120s have the most clout around here, but the 130s have their own following and from the sounds of it, the 125s will fit the great majority of DG converts.

Interested to see how this develops as well.

For some reason Ping has always had the 130 available but this is the first year they have offered the 120. I would like to see both if possible. The 125 is also interesting.

Wow! If this is all true I'm super interested. Loved I-series irons till now but just haven't quite been able to pull the trigger. Those shaft options might well do it.
