Your Current Driver and Why?

Ping i15 @ 9.5. UST Mamiya Axivcore S-flex. I've never found another driver that sets up better at address, goes farther, or sounds as good. And I can hit it well off the deck. Tried R-15TP, M1, 915D3. Nothing performs as well for me.

Also, fixed shafts and unadjustable heads are like Ferrari's to me - designed to play a single way. I feel adjustability sacrifices performance.

Been playing a J40 445 9.5 for the last couple rounds.... I have gamed this driver before but I bought this one, brand new for less than $120 and I did so because I wanted to try a lower spinning head in a softer shaft, so I picked this one up with a Diamana BB regular. So far so good, not losing distance and launch and ball flight are what I like to see. Also a fan of the glue in shafts.

Just went back to the Fast 12LS with a NV75 stiff tipped like 2". Bought the head here three, four years ago for $30 and had the shaft sitting in a closet with a sloppy tip on it. Many have tried to take its place and I always seem to come back to the thing. Bio Cell+ had a good run, but the old Adams is significantly longer for me.

Nike Vapor Fly Pro with the stock x-flex Diamana s+ blue board shaft. So far it has been a fairway finder and probably a bit longer then the Fly Z+ I had before.

I could just never get a feel for the Cobra, I think the shaft was part of the problem but I was also fiddling with the weight a lot, just could never get it dialed in.

Have had a couple of adjustable drivers, but never really felt as good as glued heads. Give me old school non adjustable drivers all day. Loving my latest purchase, ft3 9.5 with speeder 757 tour spec X. Not that forgiving, but very predictable flight.

M1 460 12* with a tour ad di 6x. Have it lofted down as far is it will go and i moved the back sliding weight to the front sliding port and put them side by side directly in line with the sweet spot. Lowers the spin and the sound is so good now. I love the look, sound, feel, and i hit it longer too which is always good.

I'm dabbling back and forth with my Nike Vapor Flex with Elements Chrome and TM M1 with RIP Alpha 70. Flex is probably longer and has better feel to it but the M1 is so easy and forgiving. Maybe it needs a different shaft to kick out the Vapor Flex...

I play a M1 8.5 loft with a 661 tour spec x shaft. I play it because I like the looks, feel, sound, it goes really far and straight. I had to mess around with the back and forth track to get it right. Weight all the way back worked wonders for me. I originally had it toward the front and I struggled with it. All the way back made it into a cannon.

Picked up an M2 10.5 (Rogue Black 70X) for S+Gs. Took it out for its first round yesterday, a practice round for my first Pro event. I ended up playing with a local head pro and was absolutely crushing it. Was consistently passing the pro.....and in the fairway. Really enjoying the driver so far.

Mizuno JPX 800 that I picked up used for $70 and because it just works with my swing for some reason.

I also hit the EZ well which I liked but I have my eye on the 915D2 which I really liked when I hit it.

you mean the JPX 850? That's the my driver and I love it!... but 70$... dang that's a bargain!

Edit: Nevermind the jpx 800 as in the one before the 850...70$ make sense now

My guess is they will start selling glued head drivers again, as player's clubs and at a premium. It's all a ruse haha. Stop making something then bring it back later at a higher cost.

adjustable hosels aren't going anywhere. especially for the pros. it makes customizing clubs and testing different combos 100 times easier. bonded drivers are NOT going to be a premium, ever. they take too long and too much work to tinker with to ever be considered superior to adapter shafts. They will just work on making those adapters better in the future.

I didn't say that adjustable hosels are going anywhere, just that I think glued hosels will come back. Tiger swears by them and that's enough for a lot of people. And the premium? Yes I think they will be. Blades have maintained or increased their value over time despite really only representing material, milling, and cosmetic improvements, with minimal technological advancement. Another case in point for this: the (granted, limited edition) Karsten putters for 500$ or whatever. Old tech, proven tech, but not cheap tech.

Taylor Made R15 430 cc with my trusty Fujikura Rombax 6X07 stiff shaft, it's a great combo when struck in the center of the face.

I can't however say it is any better than the R9 Super Tri amd the R11s it replaced.

The recent Mizuno jpx ez driver. The Fujikura Fuel is a decent shaft for JP. Matte metallic grey head with an alignment marker. It balloons when he tries anything above 10.5, which isn't a problem. Need to play with the moveable weight some. But it loads well enough. No shaft twisting has been noted.Jack's not really crazy about the sound of it, but it's not a deal breaker. He's owned worse sounding drivers. But it is not that sweet thwack of any recent MP driver, and it's not a koosh feeling driver head. First adjustable shaft driver he's owned. It's decently long, launches well and seems to be flying with a slight draw, mid launch, or straight. So far, he's pleased. Probably drop down to 8.5 to flatten it to a lower launch.

Why'd he buy it? It wasn't very expensive being used, and the shaft fit JGP's shaft profile. Plus he wanted to futz with the adjustments!
