Official Taylormade M1 Driver Thread

Ok so I bought an m1 and now have a paint cracking issue that others have mentioned in previous posts. Was anyone successful JJ having Taylormade exchange for a new m1 or equivalent?? Thanks. And thanks to those who chimed in re spin and launch numbers. I plugged my diamana d+ from my r15 to the m1 and am getting better consistency with this shaft and the kiyoshi white than I was with the rogue. That may be the solution for anyone else who had lower launch numbers with the rogue. I have it set to 8.0 on my 8.5 430 head and neutral.

with much excitement i got a new M1 a week and half ago. Sadly I think it will be listed on the classified section shortly. I just find the bad shots are really bad with it.

I am a Titleist guy through and through from my hat, full bag, ball and shoes. I hit the M1 on the range yesterday and oh my, that thing feels like cheating. I do not struggle with distance but the balls I was hitting with that M1 were waiving as they flew by my titleist. My range has a 20 ft high net that is 295yds away and I was 1-hopping the net and occasionally hitting the net on the fly, something I do not do with my Titleist. I had the front/back weight all the way towards the face and the draw/fade weight right in the middle so the weights were like "stacked" right behind the middle of the club face, and it was an absolute rocket launcher, and forgiving! Whether or not I can wait until the Titleist 917s come out before just buying one of these will be the ultimate test of will power.

I have been a Titleist Driver and Fairway woods guy since the 909's I've gamed D2 and D3 in a number of lofts and shafts trying to match my numbers I had with the M1. I found something comparable so I thought: 915D3 9.5 w/ KK Silver 60 shaft tipped 1" and all was good. Played with an old friend this weekend and noticed his M1 460 10.5 with a KK silver shaft. Tired it and Bombed it past my D3 and it was easier to hit. Made the decision right then that a M1 will be in my bag until a driver that I like the looks and feel of catches up. I hope but, don't think the 917 will measure up.

My M2 has one dot in the white M

Thanks. Anyone have any idea the significance?

Attached a picture of mine for reference. They look raised but that's just the picture. They are indented.

Been playing the G30 for a bit but decided to buy an M1 off the bay a couple weeks ago... finally got it out today paired with a white tie I got from a member here and I have to say, as good as the G30 is, the M1 was carrying 5-10 yards further for me and is easier to work either way which is nice as I could rarely turn the G30 into a draw. Still have to get it on the course but I'm pretty happy with the way it plays, though I did swap the black weight to the back, red up front. This driver feels and sounds incredible.

I have the M1 with the aldila 70x, which I was fitted for and could not for the life of me get consistent at all. I recently swapped my shaft for a diamana Ilima 60x and could not be happier. My swing varies between 108-112, I made a few adjustments to the center slider weight, the improvement is drastic to say the lease.

Well my love affair with the M1 may be over, had it over a year, been in the bag since before general release.

Didn't think I'd ever remove it, then happened to attach an M2 head (same loft) my friend had lying around...

HOLY %#@& it's even better!

Did the same thing and tried out a buddy's on the course. Wow! Surprised it had a much better feel and now considering switching as well. Might've spun more for me but just might have to loft down.

I've never seen indentations...interesting. A lot of them have dots in the M, but they all just look like where they raised up the device that does the painting.
