It may depend on if the AeroBurner replacement series is called M2.

Hit the 430 with an X stiff rogue in it today. Felt pretty nice. Good weight for me. Was surprised how good the crown looked. I've never really liked the white heads but this was just enough to frame the club well. Just hit into the net, no monitors or anything. I will definitely be giving one of these a try at a demo day this spring.

I hit the M1 460 at GG on a Foresight GC2 monitor today.
Driver SS 95-98mph

I had an FT Tour for the last few years, but recently switched to an XR and got an R15 as a gift that I have been gaming recently with a Diamana B+ 60S. I hit the M1 with the Kuro Kage Silver TiNi S.

Looks wise the M1 is very nice. The white portion frames the ball well and the Carbon Fiber portion melts into the ground. The sound at impact is really good. Titanium sound at impact, but subtle and short. No ear splitting ringing, and not as stealthy as the Callaway FT series of drivers. Kind of like a sonic boom.

This head is low spin. But more because of its lowered CG as opposed to artificially low spin by pilling a bunch of weight forward. I adjusted the head to 9.75˚ which is close to what I usually play and gave me the slightly open face I prefer. After a few hooks and draws I moved the Black forward weight two clicks to the toe. With the ball flight a little low for the low spin I was getting, I adjusted the Red back weight to the Higher position. It knocked the launch angle up a degree or so and didn't really change spin.

This is a very good club, with great no upcharge shafts. Looks good, feels good, balanced weighting with functional adjustability. The club felt forgiving enough for a better players club, especially with the weight back, but I will need to hit it side by side the R15 to evaluate the differences. It is definitely more user friendly than the SLDR.

The back sliding weight allows you the benefits of increasing or decreasing launch angles without affecting spin much. I would like to see two weights in forward channel (which I'm sure we'll see next) to increase the MOI as I'm not as consistent as Jason Day to know exactly where on the face I'll be catching each drive. Price is the main concern on this basically "TP only" driver.

Was thinking about the 10.5 fujikura and a fitter said I could also consider a 12 degrees Kura. So, mid-launch with face loft or high launch with lower face angle. I am assuming the results in this case depend on feel, dispersion and load but any general insights on this choice?
[/quote]loft is going to change launch way more than the shaft. So if you need added height you will probably need to loft up even if it will also raise spin.

Curious to see how they handle the naming of the little brother product now that they've moved away from R and Burner family. Would love to see them adopt something a little more "traditional" like Titleist or Mizuno, or even more premium car makers do it. Keep it alpha numeric and avoid the goofier marketing names all together. There's something more credible about that kind of naming that speaks to performance-oriented brands to me. Its a small detail, but, to me anyway, would signal their intentions going forward.

Would be cool to see direct takedown products like D1, D2 that look closely related and offer similar performance but with some limitation on adjustability or something like that, as opposed to a whole different story. Would love to see like an M1-i for "improvement" or something along those lines as opposed to something called rocket this, or burner that...

Its trivial, I know, but it feels more "serious" and less goofball-ish, especially for a company that prides itself on innovation leadership.

Bottom Line: If you need a new driver then definitely check out the M1;
If you just want to impress you friends with the latest and greatest then get the M1.

If you need 20 more yards then "Hit the gym Jack and don't come back no more"....until you do.

Read another review of the M1 ....this one compared to R15 same shaft......the highlight for ME was when he said trajectory differential was lessened by consistent launch of M1.....the R15 in his testing varied 60ft in height....while M1 has a 20ft difference. ......at times I struggled elevating the R15.....realizing swing inconsistencies. ......but still I'd hit alot of line drive bullets then. ....BAM! Perfect launch!....from the limited demo, even my misses got up fairly easy.....more to come

So when TM notes the lie as 58-62* the standard setting is 58* correct? Changing the lie has no effect on loft i.e. open/ closed? Thanks

I agree that the M1 looks a little more forgiving with its shape and coloring.
He only briefly mentioned that he was using a 10.5˚ R15 and a 9.5˚ M1.
I have to hit them side by side, but from hitting both at different times, the M1 does elevate quite easily.

This has been a TM tradition for many years with their driver specs and or lack of information on tuning. What's really bad, is that we do not know which one is really correct? 56-60 lie angle or 58-62 lie angle? Because 56 seems very low based on all their Tour Heads specs which tend to be closer to 59-60 degrees and a few retail offerings that were closer to 61 to 62 degrees like the R11, R1 and SLDR. Won't 56 degrees easily be like the lowest lie angle in the market place?

No......that's an aftermarket pom pom headcover that runs about 30 bucks.....stock headcover is the boxing glove look...

Is the tip adapter the exact same for the M1 as the R15? Just curious if I can stick my Fubuki J from my R15 into the new M1 and have all the lofts/lies be the same markings on both....

It is the same, yes. I hope more manufacturers continue the trend of staying with the same adapter so us club junkies can hot swap shafts.

I hate to see the same type headcover go forward from the R15 to the M1. What bugs me to all end about these headcovers is that with the wide open bottoms, when you slide the driver back down into your golf bag, the huge opening at the bottom of the head over slides right over an iron or two, and if you don't notice it, your irons could be beating your driver shaft all to hell while riding around on a bumpy course in a cart..... I actually put my R1 headcover on my R15 to protect the shaft better.....
